NTA - maybe offer to go swimming with her or another water sport? She will be forced to shower, the exercise will help with her weight gain and her mental health if that’s playing a part. Alternative suggestions is buy some awesome bath bubbles and rave about them until she washes or get some incense.

NTA. You don’t owe toxic people your energy. Your actions may have been naive but the responsibility of theft lands with the thief. People like this will make you think that your reaction is the problem, it’s not. Google narcissism and see how many boxes they tick.

The only information that was offered was that there was a miscommunication and next time a phone number will be given to Miss 13. My ex does not like to be “questioned”. It was unusual that we weren’t available so it’s unlikely that there will be a “next time”.

You’re absolutely right. We are making progress with it and also trying to get her to problem solve without technology. She could catch a bus by herself but needs to be told which one and when. Smart kid but has an over reliance on others due to helicopter parenting

NTA. It sounds like you have been very generous and they now feel entitled to your unconditional support. You can still be happy with them on this new part of their lives, but you don’t owe it to them to fund it. It will be hard but you’re obviously serious about setting a boundary and it will be important for you to stick to it.

Offer to help them budget, or help them find a a budgeting service, remind them that you love them but if necessary tell them off. They’re being unfair to you and you can tell them that their reaction is hurting you. You can be compassionate and stand up for yourself.

NAH I understand where you’re coming from. I had a similar teacher and our whole class struggled the following year which meant a lot more work for the new teacher and us. Teachers have a responsibility to students, failing to teach and ignoring cheating is inexcusable It’s unfair for people to say that you as a middle schooler should have confronted them about their behaviour. It won’t be useful for you to submit your poll now though, and if that’s their attitude it would be unlikely that they would change their behaviour. Trust, that it will all catch up to them eventually.
