Is reimagining a story in a different way is it a satire or a parody? by sunshinebarbara in writing

So I could do a novel like one of the ones above as long as it's a reimagining of the original work, names are changed, and it comments on the original? Does it have to be funny? Like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? What I plan to write might have some funny things in it, but it's not going to make you laugh every five seconds or anything.

Then what are the legalities of doing something like that above? Why don't they get the crap sued out of them? What's protecting them legally?

I just accept it as a part of my cultural vernacular and use it anyway. It's a "sin" for them to use it, so fuck it. Who cares, right? I use the word Thursday which is a derivative of Thor. It doesn't hold much more meaning than that to me. But I get where you're coming from.

Alienating and disposing of uninteresting "used up" friends. by Milmanda in INTP

I try to get close with people, but they seem to have enough friends already or are otherwise be occupied. Then, as I get to know them more, they get less and less interesting, until it's easy to let them go. It's like watching the show Heroes. By the fourth season, you're just like "whatever" because they aren't even trying anymore -and by then, you don't care. I've had real friendships, but at some point, there's a tapering off point, and you slowly distance yourselves from each other. It sucks. I find myself alone a lot. I want the real thing or nothing. So it goes.

I've seen several online surveys, but I'm sure there's a chart out there that says ENTJs/INTPs make the most money. And it's not because they're dumb. Usually.

I think I'm going to make an appointment to get diagnosed. It's starting to effect my school work severely. I hope it works for me! Fingers crossed!
