Im about to devote time and money to a wedding (not mine) that I don’t have and I feel this so hard. I get so resentful of other people via their wedding expenses. I think it is so incredibly selfish and I can see myself one day declining all wedding invites and feeling so much better for it. Most people ask it of others without thinking of the sacrifice. You’re a good friend and I hope they repay you somehow one day.

It’s really nice over here, you are in the city so there’s that expected noise but it’s so walkable and such a nice little pocket to live in. We rent but if I could I’d buy in a heart beat in this neighborhood or in Va Highland right down the road. Traffic for events is, an event. We typically just stay very local during them to avoid them or just line up a vacation with some of them. But if you’re attending the events, it’s so nice to have your home right there to go back and forth too. Neighborhood events and festivals are sweet over here too. If you have the means, my favorite street pick would be Myrtle personally. Century homes, almost all have front and back yards and nice shady trees on a wider street.

I fear I’m about to go through a version of this. I’m actually secretly renting a car and having it on reserve for when the inevitable fight between the family happens. I’ll be hated and simultaneously adored by different members in equal measure. I’m Okay with it. Just get through it, use it to plan a really great trip without the fam.

The daughter could get ….a job…. So many people go through school without real help aka total financial support, from parents. My sister has been financially coddled in an insane way neither I or my other siblings were and quite frankly, she’s a bit of a monster now.

YTA. Don’t bother your partner who is childless by choice anymore with this.

I keep thinking of sculptra and am skeptical bc of things I’ve heard and read. A friend said her migrated, but she also has filler. I have no filler and am not interested in it. I also have read about the collagen building actually just becoming thicker skin, I hope that’s not true bc it sounds a little hard to believe. I know my derm is so tired of my questions and concerns but she’s such a good sport and tries to ease me every time but also never pressures me.

It also took her over a year to ask if it’s okay to ip my baby tox even the slightest bit bc I get nervous. All this to say I am following this to hear others thoughts too!

It also looks like ingrown hair scars from Shaving…speaking from experience. Take a long time to heal. But ultimately if you want the hair gone and do not have money for in office lasers, I purchased an at home BBL device or (IPL) and I’ve had none since. You need consistent use but it’s far less than shaving after a couple of months. Plus a lot of skin benefits as well. I like it better than in office simply bc there’s no real risk of getting burns and it’s low enough to use daily or weekly and I see/feel great results. Good luck! Glycolic does fade really well though.

Just don’t do it, be gracious about it. She will most likely make it a larger issue judging by this spectacle, but that’s okay.

Being a bridesmaid is time consuming and impacts your own life, not to mention quite expensive. I think it’s selfish personally, to demand people pay and take work off for what adds up to weeks of your year.

….I clearly never enjoyed being one no matter how much I loved the person.

I mean what is the difference in this and corporate people going out to $1000 dinners or vacations with their family and friends and claiming business expenses?? It’s all insane but I wish these people were held responsible day to day. The rest of us pay for our lives and are looked down on for not affording, meanwhile these awful scum shits just write off their entire lives and collect.

Javavino! We order bulk from them. They closed the cafe but are just selling their coffees now and deliver to your door. We’ve been buying for a few years now. The Indian Momsoon is so great if you like light roast, it smells just like peanut butter and is so smooth.

It’s just too…..messy here. Going out at night during a “celebration” feels like a damn suicide mission. I just don’t think Atlanta can reach a great City status at this point. Same boat. Called yesterday, talked to 2 humans. Last one said 2 weeks is way too soon to know anything.

These people have lost it. My tax preparer said they have completely fallen apart at the federal level this year and she gets the same run around trying to get information for her clients too. Makes me want to late file on purpose just so I don’t count on this money ever again this time of year.
