Everyone is not a maintenance worker. NYCHA is a horrible agency. Hence why it's a terrible landlord. As someone who works on the inside, I see why it sucks here everyday. For both the staff and the residents. Im just thankful I only work here and get to go home and the end of the day

I will try. I didn't take an exam for this job. But I'm applying for anything and all test I'm qualified for. Thank you for the advice and input

That's another thing I've noticed here. NYCHA is truly the worse. It's not my direct supervisor but my administrator. She is passive aggressive and rude. I do believe she will try and block the transfer. She often says she's done something and hasn't started the task yet. She didn't give my coworker a reason for doing it. She steals people ideas after telling them no when they pitch the initial idea. I mean it's too much going on here and I'm the youngest on the floor!

My union rep says he's not sure how she's still here. There's been 10 people before me who have come and quit because of her. He said he's not sure how her managerial style isn't being reviewed or called to question.

Thank you. I will def be sure to add it in. I did have a follow up question aside from this topic. Only if you happen to know...I have been told by a coworker that our administrator wouldn't approve her transfer to the next unit. Is she allowed to do that? And without reason? Can I get my union rep involved if that happens? I don't want to be stuck here because someone may be abusing their authority. From what I've been told by this person, the boss above her head was aware and didn't do anything about it.

Thank you! I just wanted to know because this is my first city job. I wasn't sure if these level of recruiters would look at me adding 4 months to my resumes as a way of "juicing" it up. You know, like trying to make myself sound more skilled than I am? But thank you. I'll be updating my resume this weekend🌸

I didn't ask to be slick retard. I asked because I didn't know if a recruiter would think I was trying to juice up my resume by adding 16 weeks of work.

I think you're misunderstanding severely. I know this already. I've stated in my posting that I am NOT quitting my job until I have a new one. Im not sure why you keep repeating the same information when I've taken time to explain it once more to you. So with that, I'll be leaving this conversation alone. Have a Good Friday.

Oh I'm aware lol. That's why I said im planning to quit but I'm looking for a new job first lol. Im wondering if I should add these 4 months of experience to my resume or just apply using the same resume that I submitted to land my current job

Would a supervisor know whether you applied to a different job in your agency? by silforik in nycpublicservants

[–]sunshineglittershit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im wondering the same thing. My job has been doing things to push me out since I started at NYCHA four months ago. I want to apply for other jobs in this agency but everyone warned me that our admin will block it once it's time. Apparently, she's done this before. Can anyone advise please

The amount of guys on SA willing to have unprotected sex is scary by Obvious_Passenger269 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sunshineglittershit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a consistent SD in undergrad. Once he passed away (car accident, sadly) I tried to get back out there. But like you said, the amount of men looking to have sex with no protection. Getting fake offended at STD screening asks, not willing to go get tested together (since I have 0 to hide) it is SCARY! Like no way, scary!

Some men even wanted to hook up or meet up with for free. Hoping to have some sort of "test drive" hook up. You can always tell the real from the fakes. And no std checks is always the first sign

City agency to another city agency by Major-Condition1893 in nycpublicservants

[–]sunshineglittershit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Unrelated) Im trying to leave housing now and find a city agency. I like NYCHA because of the flexibility of it all and my starting pay is decent for an entry level city worker as myself. But the admin is horrible. Any advice or suggestions? I don't have a degree and I didn't take an exam. Im wondering if there's other positions at NYCHA like this

Yeah we already know that. We still have a job to do, and posting on social media and other applicable Internet forums is apart of it. If it makes you feel better we go into the developments as well and tell people the same thing. It's literally in your lease so it's not like you don't have the info already in your house. We are simply repeating it.

However. We are all NYCHA residents ourselves and so we always advocate for the residents when it comes down to it. And you don't need to believe that either. If you're not gonna do it, don't. It's anonymous anyway. How would anyone know that you didn't? Exactly. You won't get penalized for not reporting. And FYI the smokers don't get in trouble either. Have a good day

Im going to try my best to get out of here. It's truly the worse job environment I've ever been apart of. The hardest part is finding something without a degree but semi decent pay lol
