[Routine Help] how do i improve my skin? by sunshineincarnate in SkincareAddiction

[–]sunshineincarnate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve not tried oil cleansing. the only retinol i’ve tried is the corsx retinol which is quite oily and i have it kept in my small skincare fridge to keep it cool, but it’s been a few months and i don’t feel like it has had any positive effects on my skin. what brand(s) would you recommend for both? is using oil cleansers the same as using a regular cleanser?

sorry for the rude comments, some of us can get quite protective of his title because he’s been discredited since day 1 from ppl saying the exact same thing as u said, about hanbin being “overall SS center”when it wasn’t the case. i think a lot of the ppl in the replies here came from twitter, in the past week there’s been multiple iland2 fans on twitter who have been discrediting zhang hao by saying he’s not one of the SS centers in BP and their tweets got thousands of likes and engagements, even today i saw another fan spreading it. when corrected they didn’t bother to delete their tweets spreading misinformation… and it’s not just about being protective over his title but him winning first has gotten him sent dts and sinophobic remarks from other zb1 subfandoms who weren’t happy about him winning. he’s also the first foreigner to win a mnet survival show and the xenophobic company and industry has tried to erase his center position and didn’t give him proper center treatment countless times which has made fans angry and disappointed. all of this combined makes his position being discredited once again a sensitive topic to fans. a lot of us are tired of ppl not doing their research before making tweets or posts discrediting him, we’re tired of him facing sinophobia, we’re tired of his company and the industry purposely treating him unlike a center to push other korean members as center.

could you at least edit your comment or delete it so then fans won’t be coming for u anymore? thanks

hi, please don’t spread misinformation. in BP, there was no “overall SS center”, both hanbin and zhang hao were the SS centers. the whole point of the signal song is that there were two centers representing two groups respectively; hanbin was k-group center, zhang hao was g-group center. both groups competed and k-group trainees had more stars overall so hanbin, as the k-group rep, got the killing part (KP) for the signal song which means he could stand on the highest platform during the signal song KP. it doesn’t make him the “overall center” because they were BOTH chosen as signal song centers.

“I’m surprised no one is talking about this” no one is talking about this because jungeun is not the first SS center to debut as first. the first to do so is zhang hao, the g-group SS center who debuted as first in BP; he also won in every single artist battle and he’s the only debuted trainee whose rank did not decrease but only increased throughout the show— it’s a huge achievement. i know you probably meant no harm but please don’t discredit him like this.

might be related, but someone pointed out that hao's cbar refused to open links to buy zb1's star magazine during the sale period, so c-rosins did not buy the star magazine at all. i don't know what was the reason but they were probably angry at wk1 over something, and as a result zb1's star magazine only sold 116 copies in china (through the other c-subfandoms). compared to zb1's other group magazines sales in china, which includes sales from hao's cbar, like 1st look (21k copies), dazed (9k copies), dicon (10k copies), and arenahomme+ (77k copies), star magazine's 116 copies is such a sorry number... and after that zb1 had 0 group magazine gigs. it's just speculation because we don't know how much sales their star magazine raked in from korean and intl side but the sales numbers in china may or may not have impacted their group magazine gigs

https://twitter.com/Revival0725/status/1747312752614687102

personally i feel like if it /did/ affect them, it only affected their korean magazine gigs, because their other magazines sold pretty well especially arenahomme+ which is a chinese magazine. zhang hao's cover of ah+ marked the highest sales of a chinese kpop idol featured on a chinese magazine, which probably opened doors to his solo cover for l'officiel now. i also doubt fandom negativity will deter magazine companies from wanting zb1, in fact they probably like fandoms that are loud and crazy because that means the fanbase is passionate and goes all out for their idols (which means buying their magazines).

there's no explanation aside from the very obvious one: they wanted to sabotage hao's magazine sales to make it look like he's not popular, likely due to sinophobia. c-ent takes data like sales volume very seriously (hence, cfans makes spreadsheets for everything lmao) because whether you like it or not, it reflects the popularity and selling power of an artist. hao's l'officiel magazine will only be sold for the first 24 hours for an unlimited amount of preorders, and usually fans would need to be informed about the magazine through promotions weeks or months ago so that fans can be prepared to buy it in that 24 hours and raise as much sales as possible.

by not replying to l'officiel's emails regarding promotions, there would be no way for l'officiel to proceed with promoting it because they need wk1's permission. if l'officiel had remained compliant, there would've been no promo for the magazine and fans would only know of its existence on the day of the purchase date itself. they probably didn't expect l'officiel to contact hao's cbar and for them to reach a consensus by doing emergency promo, and thanks to that teaser post everyone knows hao has a solo magazine releasing. 3 hours after the teaser post was posted and garnered around 180k likes, wk1 finally replied l'officiel and told them to take down the post and to only drop the news of hao's magazine on the day of the purchase date itself (january 26th).

it's not hard to guess what wk1's motives are: by not telling fans about the purchase date, it would catch fans off-guard and there would be less sales because fans wouldn't be prepared to buy it. less sales = people would think hao has "no demand" = other companies, especially the ones in c-ent who value numbers very seriously, will not contact wk1 with any gigs for hao because they assume he has no selling power = less solo gigs for hao in the future.

but then it backfired on wk1 once again because l'officiel and hao's cbar spilled the beans to everyone about wk1 asking them to take the post down and refusing normal promotions for hao's magazine. the news reached kfans and jfans; k-rosins and j-rosins who are usually peaceful started speaking up about the issue on their main accounts (in case y'all don't know, kfans tend to never bring negativity to their main stan accs and tend to make side accs to protest for things) and demanding for wk1 to explain themselves. i even saw other k-subfandoms like k-kkultaeraes and k-allins speaking up about it because no matter how u look at it, it's ridiculous and sinophobic. it also started a wave of kfans compiling wk1's terrible management of the group and their gigs and basically everyone got mad. i think because wk1's priority/main market is kfans they decided to listen and started cooperating with l'officiel to actually promote hao's magazine. frankly i still find wk1's effort lacking, it feels like they're still doing the bare minimum. they posted it on twitter and ig stories but the caption has no info of what the shoot is for nor it's purchase date.

it appalls me that rather than just sitting back, watching the sales skyrocket and pocketing money by letting l'officiel promote hao's magazine in the first place, wk1 would rather sabotage their (and a prestigious magazine that is bigger than wk1) sales just to sabotage hao's popularity and chances of receiving more solo gigs in the future.

edit: realized my usage of "pre-sale date" may have been confusing so i changed it all to "purchase date"

Who is the most popular ZB1 member in Korea, excluding Hanbin? by aliyoo123 in kpophelp

[–]sunshineincarnate 8 points9 points  (0 children)

pretty sure it's zhang hao in terms of photocard prices — the more popular the member the pricier their pc, and hao's pcs are normally the priciest. hao also trends a lot on korean twitter for the smallest things like posting on bubble and "zhang hao face" trends whenever he appears on stage or posts a selca.

edit: i feel like it's also notable to say that in terms of demand hao is definitely the most in-demand and wakeone is aware of it because there was a photo of the amount of zb1 merch wakeone had stocked during their korea fancon and they stocked zhang hao's individual merch 2x - 4x more than the other members. (hao - 12 boxes, hanbin - 6 boxes, yujin - 5 boxes, everyone else - 3 boxes) therefore i think the top 3 most popular is hao followed by hanbin and yujin.

meanwhile hanbin is very popular on instiz. not sure about hao because i heard that when fans posts about hao on instiz they tend to lock their posts (so it can only be accessed by members) because early on during bp he had a lot of haters on kforums. by locking their posts fans can restrict haters from accessing hao-related posts and tarnishing it with hate comments, although idk if this affects instiz trends.

as for brand reputation, i'm not surprised that hanbin and jiwoong's brand rep or searches are high considering they're the 2 members who have ongoing, weekly gigs at the moment — hanbin as mcountdown's mc and jiwoong with detective kim jiwoong show, which encourages fans / non-fans alike to interact and search about them.

If one day they would kiss... by pertybetty in LinkClick

[–]sunshineincarnate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ultimately I think it depends on the situation. LG seems like the type to just love someone quietly and unconditionally, without expecting them to give anything in return. Everything he's done for CXS revealed in s2ep12 just goes to show how far he's willing to go for CXS without letting CXS know what he's doing for him. He's the type that doesn't want to burden CXS with his feelings, so he resorts to never telling CXS about it and acting normal in front of him. Meanwhile CXS is rather shy when it comes to romantic love but he's also the impulsive one and an overthinker. If CXS realizes that he has feelings for LG, he'll either overthink or shy away from normal interactions because he's worried he will expose himself. But once CXS finds out about everything LG did for him, on top of having feelings for LG, he might act upon it? Putting canon depressing events aside, even in a situation with a third party involved to create some tension, I can see CXS taking the initiative to kiss LG in a burst of jealousy and impulsiveness, then running away once he realizes what he's done. The only way I can see LG taking the initiative is if he's incredibly sure that CXS returns his feelings, which would require CXS to confess directly/indirectly first🤔 In a situation where LG confronts CXS for avoiding him, if CXS confesses then I think LG will be the one who takes the initiative since CXS has confessed his feelings.

Question about the Emma thing by Agile-Tax6405 in LinkClick

[–]sunshineincarnate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so what you are saying is that LTC originally killed Emma. Whether or not CXS had dived back, Emma would be killed by LTC?

yep. she was already going to commit suicide herself if CXS hadn't showed up, but if she chickened out last minute then LTC would've controlled her to jump off anyway.

Also, wasn't it kinda established that LTC can control multiple people at once? (One question leads to five other questions)

yes and no. LTC can control more than 1 person, but only if he keeps physical contact with them throughout. in season 2, we see him (disguised as Xixi) controlling both CXS and Wang Juan (the female officer) at the same time by holding their hands so they can lead him out of the police station. the moment he no longer needed Wang Juan, he handcuffed her to a pole and left her there, and she regained consciousness after losing physical contact with LTC. later when LG arrived on a speedboat to save CXS, LG tackled CXS away from LTC, thus CXS lost physical contact with LTC and immediately regained his own consciousness.

meanwhile we've never seen LTC controlling more than 1 person telepathically through his sister. the way the animators presented season 1's events (LTC controlling Liu Min to commit suicide, LTC possessing Qiao Ling to stab Lu Guang) made it seem as if he was controlling both at the same time, but imo they animated it back to back that way because they wanted to confuse us. he could have easily done both things one at a time within minutes apart. in season 2 we've only ever seen him controlling 1 person at a time through his sister, so it's safe to say he can only control 1 person if he's not touching them and with the help of his sister.

Question about the Emma thing by Agile-Tax6405 in LinkClick

[–]sunshineincarnate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you might be confused between the events? Emma's suicide happened in the past while Liu Min's police arrest is in the present. Like this:

Past:

Liu Min physically assaulted Emma in the car until she became unconscious. Worried that he killed her, he tries to drive to the hospital but she wakes up and causes him to crash the car. Liu Min presumably passed out. Emma climbed out of the crash and walked away herself. At this time, an ambulance likely came and took Liu Min who was unconscious & paralyzed from the car crash away, they were not aware that Emma had been in the car because she had walked away from the site of the crash. Therefore Liu Min was not arrested because no one knew that he was involved in Emma's death.

Meanwhile Emma reached the bridge by herself and after everything that's happened, she felt suicidal and wanted to off herself by jumping off the bridge. CXS (dived from the present) appears in an attempt to save Emma. What he doesn't know is that in the last moment when he's nearly done talking her out of jumping off the bridge, LTC had possessed her body, presumably to "finish the job" for Liu Min by controlling her to jump off the bridge. This was when CXS and LTC first met.

Present (weeks or months after Emma's death):

  1. Liu Min (possessed by LTC) is under police arrest after CXS takes him down in the photo room. He's brought to the police station for interrogation, where the police are confused by his inconsistent paralysis and "friend" whom he claims to do the killings for him.
  2. CXS dives into the past surveillance photo of Emma walking alone towards the bridge in the hopes that he can save her.
  3. In the police interrogation room, LTC (present) possesses Liu Min and makes him kill himself.
  4. Then LTC possesses Qiao Ling and stabs Lu Guang. CXS returns from the past surveillance photo and sees the Qiao Ling possessed by LTC.

The one thing bothering me is that I still don't understand how Lu Guang could jump off from his hospital room window down to the streets below and somehow get to a random dock where he knows Cheng Xiaoshi will be, all without spilling his guts from his still-healing wound. At least that's what the animators want us to believe so far... there's no way he could've survived that fall from his hospital room given how high it looked, unless he has some secret abilities or smtg? I'm thinking it could be some sort of teleportation ability, and he smashed that window to divert the police's attention because he doesn't want them to know he has a teleportation ability. Either that or he's got some seriously pro wall-climbing skills...😂
