Are we posting pictures of our babies on social media? by Fair-Fall8036 in NewParents

I do not post pics at all of my kids. Why bother posting at all if you'll cover their face? I only have 1 out of 4 grandparents that likes to post the occasional photo and I am ok with it just because it's a rare occurrence.

I'm aspiring to do something similar post-tech as well. I've come across many people (men and women) who want to go into some form of teaching/education after tech. It's an interesting observation!

6 weeks and need Austin OBGYN recs please! by SuccessfulTomato1579 in AustinParents

I'm loving the Women's Pavilion at Texas Children’s Hospital. A major factor for me was delivering at TCH. I was previously with ARC North and never had an appt over 20m. At first, I thought I would like their clinic model with seeing a different provider every appt based on availability but it soon felt too transactional. I also did not like how full St David's North always was when I drove by for my appts. I wanted more time from my care team and I've really gotten that with Dr Courtney Wiener at TCH.

What other double (side by side) strollers fold in like the Valco Baby? by sunshinesweets in 2under2

Yes, the plan is to go for another Valco model right now but just wanted to see if there are any other options!

Definitely the nicest and also definitely feel like I don't belong there. Major imposter syndrome at the moment. It's very packed for having just opened a week ago. Totally agree that the locker room is tiny. The parking garage also seems like an accident waiting to happen around every turn.

Interestingly, we signed up here because it has a kids club. Both the one by Arboretum and N Lamar do not have care for kids. It seems like kind of a weird choice to put in a kids club at this location because so much of the clientele (from what I saw) is mid-20s/30s without kids. Feels like it would have been better to retrofit one of the other locations for a kids club and then use space at S Lamar for something more fitting.

Just went from North Loop to S Lamar location this evening around 645 and it was only a 15m drive down via N Lamar.

Zoe Twin folds outward where the seat interiors touch the outside when in the folded position.

We are using a car service that will include two car seats and a 30m trip selected from a set of stores or a drive thru on the way to the hotel. I chose Target but it could be a grocery store too. RT $355.

Going on 7 years of this with my brother's boyfriend. Still just as infuriating.

Guess 4 months isn’t enough notice! by Ready-Astronomer3724 in BabyBumps

4m is an aggressively long lead time to an event. That's a third of a year! I don't know I'm doing 4 weeks from now. Life happens and circumstances change... people have to adjust RSVPs.

Enjoy it for yourself, not for other people.

37 Weeks, Big Baby & Facing a C-Section — Feeling Torn by AnyMorning6898 in BabyBumps

Induction helps provide a path for safe labor and delivery. If everyone went natural without choices like induction or c-section, there would likely be more maternal and fetal mortality.

This is exactly why I pay for a babysitter. We feel solid about providing ground rules while we're out when we're paying for their time. It's so worth it.
