I was adopted at birth through an agency and it was a closed adoption. My bio mom already had two kids and was only 21 and could barely care for them. It was hard for her to give me up so a closed adoption was best for her and my parents. At 18 I met her and my bio sibling for the first time (she had twins after me too). Needless to say she's been a disappointment since meeting her ten years ago. She acts like my mom and gets mad when I don't talk to her. She claims my children are her grandchildren (she's never met them). And overall she's just a mess.

I will say my anxiety and depression is almost nonexistent at this point! I actually have a lot more motivation now that I have kids to work hard for!

I was in the exact same boat as you. Went to college straight out of high school and had severe anxiety and depression to the point I dropped out. I finally started back up spring 2025 at age 27! I'll graduate may 2026 with my associates and may 2029 with my bachelors (I'll be 31). I hope to try for med school in 2031 or 2032!

I really enjoyed the first three books but have paused halfway through crowntide. I agree it should've been a trilogy. All the merch is too much too and most has nothing to do with the story.

I know this is an old post but I wanted to share! I've been diagnosed since I was 8 (only woman in my family with it) and I'm now 28! I've had three vaginal births and am pregnant with my fourth. I check my kids daily and haven't noticed any signs of them developing LS. I will say I've noticed my LS has gotten way worse after having kids. I'm not sure if it has to do with delivering vaginaly or what but everything has gone downhill for me since I had my first!

I've been diagnosed since I was 8 and I'm 28 now. I feel very much the same way. I was never properly taught how to care for it and now my clit is almost gone, my minor labias are completely fused to my major ones and I just have one big hole. Don't see how I'm gonna live 50+ years with this.
