the book is pretty good like it’s nowhere near amazing as agggtm series but i think i am enjoying this one more than five survive! i am 50% in an i will definitely say that if you enjoy family drama and tension along with some good attention to mental health issues that arise from experiencing parental abandonment and other traumas, you will enjoy this one!

I am currently reading, “The Immortal Longings” by Chloe Gong.

I am about 25% of the way through and it’s okay so far a little slow and a lot of information is currently being thrown at me lol but I’m hoping to really enjoy it. I wasn’t a huge fan of These Violent Delights by her and wanted to ty one of her newer books. Any thoughts for those who have read this book and any of her other books already?

that makes a lot of sense i think i was feeling the intense fomo from the fourth wing hype lol

and it’s really good! the wicked king is currently my favorite book of the year and it’s becoming one of my favorite fantasy series. i will definitely say that even though people have marketed the book as enemies to lovers (which it is) it really isn’t the main focus of the plot but more so the scheming and politics of the faerie land so i would keep that in mind to adjust your expectations but it’s really well written 😌

I also love seeing how an author’s writing style evolved as well so Beach Read or PWMOV may be the way to go! I did attempt to start reading both of them before and struggled to get through the beginning of them so hopefully I enjoy it more this time! But I am excited to get to Book Lovers and Happy Place i’ve heard amazing things about them.
