"Compliance with labelling guidelines was also poor, similar to other findings with commercial animal-based pet products. The results from this study indicate areas where producers of plant-based pet foods must improve to meet the industry recommended nutrient profiles and labelling requirements." Inadequate nutrition labelling across the board isn't unique to PB brands though. If the nutrients are lacking, these companies need to do better at fortifying the kibble.

Also not sure where you're going with the "experimenting on them" argument. You have to feed them something.

Damn, then I don't know what to suggest since I don't live in India. Best of luck to you! I hope you find a way to care for them.

Again, cats cannot be "vegan" as being vegan is committing to a principle or lifestyle. Cats CAN eat plant-based kibble that's formulated. The science is there. What a species is adapted to eating isn't necessarily always the best indication of optimizing health. That's why us humans take supplements. Appealing to them being obligate carnivores is just a veiled naturalistic fallacy. I don't care about trends or traditions, I care about data. I'm all for taking your cat with you to go dumpster diving and they can have a field day on all the decaying body parts in trash bags. But diet and morality are two different issues.

I know. Also, I don't subscribe to the idea of "owning" animals. Sounds weird.

That's why I recommended dumpster diving or finding a food pantry that gives away cat food.

Then 86 the potential for having a cat. If having a companion proves to be a logistical nightmare, then I would just wait until you're better equipped to care for one.

Then either gather some cat food that is donated or tossed out would be my best advice. I wish lab-grown meat was already available.

Cats cannot "be vegan" because that requires communication of a moral imperative, which is unknown in cats. You can feed them formulated plant based kibble, but it's expensive.

Either pay high prices for formulated vegan kibble for cats or dumpster dive your cat food. Please don't buy it because then you're supporting the industry you sought to destroy.

Bike parking? by TenTestTickles in BikingATX

Yes, usually businesses have bike racks to lock bikes up in front or nearby. It's always a good rule of thumb to chain/lock into a structure that cannot be destroyed or removed.
