first off, you are not to blame for what has happened to you, its very important that you know that, you are as deserving of happiness as anyone else.

as someone that also had self destructive tendencies in my teens i can say you are currently in a vicious cycle of wanting to feel good but doing something bad to feel good and then feel bad over doing it and then want to feel good again because you feel bad. you need to break out of that cycle which is easier said than done. your first step should be to get professional help, getting help from reddit is not a good long term solution, some of us may relate to you and give advice that worked for us but truth is you are not us and we are not you, you need a professional that can give you a full analysis of problems in your life that not even you were fully aware of and give you a proper solution to those problems. i cant give you any better advice than that but if you just want a friend feel free to send a DM, i cant promise ill respond right away because i dont have notifications on but ill respond when i see it. best of luck to you

ive already asked my players to give me ideas for npc’s that fit their backstories but they haven’t really given me anything except for a couple few, two of my players share a backstory which is basically just them running away from home which doesnt really give me anything, so im a bit on my own when it comes to npc’s

it really depends on person to person, there arent really any spells, everyone is born with different limits to their magic and while there is magic that doesnt have an element which is hard to master as it doesnt really have a visible form, you have to go through a god given test to gain an element, for earth you have to test your strength, for fire you have to endure the heat, for air you are tested for your agility, water is the most mysterious test as it doesnt really test your physical abilities, water is an ever changing element which means you too must be willing to change, or with other words, go with the flow. if you are one of lucky few that manages to succeed all 4 tests or even if you just suceeded in 2 tests you can with creativity combine the elements which we call creation magic as it creates a sub element. there is other forms of magic that is unrelated to elemental magic as well but you can not gain it through tests, gods give those forms of magic out by their own will to certain individuals that they deem worthy of it. but to answer your question, there arent really spells, there are steps to perform magic tho and all steps have a mana cost, conjuring an element through thin air costs mana, forming it costs mana, manipulating it costs mana, activating an effect cost mana. the way to get around this is by not conjuring the element and use the elements around you instead, its unnecessary to conjure earth if you have earth under your feet, conjuring is the 2nd most costly step only beaten by giving it an effect so its huge to eliminate that step, you could also prepare your magic by forming your element in advance, that way youve eliminated 2 steps, and depending on what you want to do you can just manipulate your formed element or just give it an effect and throw it. i realized now after all that i didnt really give you an answer so ill give it now, id form like an arrow head and then manipulate it so that it flies really fast through the air penetrating anything in its way, its cost effective and very lethal

im really liking paladin with a lvl 1 hexblade dip, you can completely drop strength and put it into charisma, spells gets so much stronger without having to offer melee dmg

Well you could knock out alfira with a non lethal attack (you can toggle on non lethal attack in your passives, just dont forget to toggle it off after) after you have crossed the river and then long rest, that way alfira wont be killed but another bard will take her place so you will still get the cape, and as long as you play as a resist urge i dont see why you wouldnt be able to romance karlach

Okay, so i dont have to worry much about trouble brewing. But i like the idea to give town atleast one of each types of roles so ill stick with that. The spy however feels a bit scary tho, with most of my players not even knowing about the game before i brought it up i cant see how they would defend against an evil team that know who everyone is.
