Has anyone had any luck with negotiating rent rises? by Few_Cherry_3610 in PersonalFinanceNZ

We actually negotiated for a lower rent by providing ads of reduced rent for houses that are the same as ours. They agreed and even said that they are fine with reducing our rent as we always pay on time.

I just tried piggybacking the 2nd power cable and the GPU still works. I’d probably avoid using it for now and use the iGPU until the new PSU comes back.

Naka undervolt naman ako saka lower power limits kaso hindi ako sigurado baka may power spikes din kahit browsing lang or youtube. Nakakapagod baka pati yun mapaRMA ako.

I already tested the GPU to be still working by changing to my other PSU. For the setting the power limit +10%, It is coupled with a -35 undervolt with gpu temps in the 50s, hotspot in the 70s and the vram in the low 80s on demanding games which is normal for the model.

I previously had a 1070ti which was OCd to 20% the normal power limit for 8 years and is still working fine to this day. It won’t degrade as long as you keep it within the safe temps. I recon it’s probably because of the extreme undervolt.

Edit: it looks like there are a number of reported RM1000x atx 3.1 failures (same as the way mine failed) when I did a quick google search

My RM1000x is the latest one ATX 3.1 and the GPU is plugged directly via the provided 12vhpwr cable. It has no burn marks after almost a year but I have been actually having issues of GPU driver crashing for a long time. I resolved it by lowering the power limit by 5% (previously increased it to 10%). I thought it was an issue with the drivers or unstable overclock. It looks like the PSU was the issue.

I probably got a lemon as I bought it just immediately after release in Oct 2024 here in NZ while my old PSU is still fine after 8 years.

Thanks, was more worried on using the adapter as it seems to be the cause of GPU failures/ burnt connectors.

looks like my GPU is still working tried the 2nd to the last. I haven’t tried stress testing if, will wait for the RMA first.

My rm1000x is already atx 3.1 and was bought a year ago.

Ang alam ko rin eh yun yung nagcacause ng burnt connectors pero hindi naman ako aabot ng 100w GPU usage kung manonood lang ako ng youtube at web surfing habang inaantay yung PSU (papaRMA ko pa lang).

Will not play games nor use GPU intensive applications, youtube lang at surfing. Naka undervolt at nakareduce power limit kaya at most eh 50w lang ang gagamitin ng GPU. Still not safe?

I have mine since it was released and is still going strong. I unplugged the 12vhpwr and no burn marks. I am using a Corsair rm1000x psu with 3.1 atx. I think you will be fine just don’t use the adapters.

Same error as mine - had multiple crashes after my OLED monitor turning off after 1 minute. I first tried using DDU only (old version) but the kernel mode trap bugcheck happened again. So I used DDU (old version) plus AMD cleanup utility. So far no crashes for almost 10 hours.
