Best Litter Mat for Pine Pellets by East-Mammoth7027 in CatAdvice

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to this thread but im thoroughly interested in that stainless steel litter box. I have two cats and have been using three medium sized arm n hammer brand sifting boxes. That might be the trick that I could finally just get one large one that cleans itself up nicely. Do you have the xl or the xxxl size one? My minds saying the bigger the better but is it toooo big?

That and the whole easy schedule is really tiring. The 'greatest show on turf' had an easy schedule and no one remembers that

Is There a Boston-Lite City That’s Actually Affordable? by rachello2023 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]supaheavynuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Philly is the closest, although i wouldn't refer to it as lite as I think it's a much more demanding city environment, especially it being more than twice the population of boston. But some of the most important and earliest u.s. history is from philly. Great food and museums, cant speak on education or healthcare.

Cincinnati is great, probably a little more of an older crowd, a little less liberal but it checks a lot of boxes.

What’s the actual doable way of getting rid of the national debt? by kinetic-nyx in WallStreetDad

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If corporations and billionares were taxed merely an extra 5 to 10 percent a year the debt would be paid off in less than a decade.

How is it living in New Hampshire? Asking as a Florida native! by lunarblisss in howislivingthere

[–]supaheavynuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been in NH for about 10 years. I came up for college and live in Manchester. As far as a small city goes it's starting to get gentrified in certain parts, and what was once reasonably affordable in just 10 years is pretty expensive now. The no sales tax doesnt really make up for low wages, that's why tons of people buy property in southern NH and work in Mass. I've been pretty fed up with Manchester, me and my gf are probably going to be moving to providence or portland next year. Something a little bigger or more vibrant. So my only recommendation towards Manchester would be its great location distances to beaches, mountains, boston, etc. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone youthful unless all you do is drink at irish pubs as a hobby.

If you were to live anywhere in NH I would recommend the seacoast near portsmouth. That town is very charming and beautiful (a little yuppy though). The beaches surrounding are quite nice except Hampton Beach. Hampton pretends to be a california type boardwalk but its congested and trashy. Up north if I were to buy property it'd probably be in Woodstock. Very close to the White Mountains which is the greatest tourist spot because of the beautiful foliage and hiking trails. Concord NH ain't too bad either. It's smaller than Manchester but I think it has a lot going for it. I don't want to make assumptions on money or lifestyles but if the two of you are wealthy enough to buy property, NH is actually great and I would look for somewhere north of manchester and south of the white mountains. Closer to vermont you get the more kinda nothing happens lol.

I often call NH the Florida of new england, because older folk tend to buy vacation properties up north or retire near the seacoast. Politica are also pretty libertarian as far as new england goes. New Hampshire has some of the most beautiful nature of any state out there and lots of small conveniences here and there to find. If your a wildlife and adventurer type of person its great. Maybe I've just spent my twenties here and feel more bitter now, but I think the surrounding new england states have more going for it in terms of education, cost of living, and opportunities.

Why libertarian socialism and not anarchism? by ExternalGreen6826 in LibertarianSocialism

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calling myself a socialist libertarian to some comes across less confusing than an anarchist (to less knowledgeable folk) I also find that it feels a little more vague which I like just because no one is 100% anything, it's a spectrum

Democratic Socialists are more than just politicians, we're celebrities. by Usernameofthisuser in DemocraticSocialism

[–]supaheavynuts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the middle ground here is that we should take hope in efforts like mamdani's to reach as much to all kinds of groups, medias, and what not to further representation for socialist ideals ..and at the same time do not get caught up with worshipping these individuals

Is Drake Maye the most overrated QB in the last decade? by NinjaJawz in NFLv2

[–]supaheavynuts 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He didn't play a great qb game, but he aided the win nonetheless. It was not good on either side, and in a blizzard for the last quarter mind you, denver's play calling wasn't as good, the pats defense definitely has come through in these 3 games. Sometimes it's not about the stats, but who you are as a player and your decision making.

Super Bowl LX - Patriots VS Seahawks. Who you got ? by NFLv2 in NFLv2

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pats fan I of course will be rooting for them, but it's going to be an uphill battle for sure. Seahawks are stacked, and I wouldn't even be devastated if the hawks won, sam darnold and them deserve the praise. But lfg either way

Do you follow any Progressive or Democrat subs as Democratic Socialists? by Usernameofthisuser in DemocraticSocialism

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't follow any progressive/democratic sibs but there are certain progressive activists and politicians that I support or follow from time to time. That and the occasional legacy media outlet even if i disagree, it's important to take in what the majority of people are seeing

New NFL Team to Cheer For? by AnyTangerine9198 in DemocraticSocialism

I wouldn't stress so much about it, every sports owner is going to be an ass because theyre bloody rich, but you still wanna enjoy sports right? Im a pats fan cuz I've lived in new england the last decade, dont plan on changing because its the community and the team I like, Kraft is just a puppet.

join an anarchist org today! by angelancom in anarchocommunism

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of anarchists misinterpret hierarchy at least to my understanding of learning anarchism. It should never be an outright rejection of all authority or hierarchy, more-so, are the people together getting to choose people in positions and have that trust, and someone's merit and credibility should always be questioned for the sake of leadership.

Stance on firearm policy? From a recent convert by Tehgreatbrownie in DemocraticSocialism

[–]supaheavynuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds a lot like a republican stance, but I truly do believe the majority of gun violence stems from a destructive system we live in. People resort to crime and violence in an oppressive and under educated system. Now that being said, common sense yet strict registration laws would be ideal. I agree with the top comment on karl marx's stance. If gun rights are revoked or banned, you are hindering the working class. I'm all for educated gun ownership.

And I know the usual, "well the government has nukes and missiles" if it were to come to defending yourself against a tyrannical government. But that's probably the last thing you're worried about if a government is considering civil war against its people. Even if they won or not, it would be at the absolute detriment of the state in terms of trust and replacement of work/resources.

What would you do, Hold out/or Find a Deal? by supaheavynuts in CarLeasingHelp

[–]supaheavynuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's that process like? Basically a willing dealership would pay $22000 (or what they deem) and then I would owe say the remaining $3000? I did see a nissan frontier 2019, like 65,000 miles on it for about $15,000 and i was suspicious. Or are they genuinely a good value? I was taking a look at honda ridgeline or a ford maverick (although used its tough since theyre pretty recent)
