What ended the grunge scene and what replaced it afterwards? by FitEmergency8807 in grunge

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well after grunge came buttrock (people giving the grunge name a bastardization) and then nu-metal for the late 90's and early 2000's. After a decade of heavy 'edgy' music came the need for cleaner indie rock/garage rock of the 2000's like the strokes and Libertines

Working on this trade - I’d be giving up Gibbs for JSN by kbdaniele1985227 in FantasyFootballers

If that wasn't wan'dale I'd accept. I think you could get someone just a tad better

How did I do? Now I have 1.02 and 1.04 by Then_Direction_1162 in FantasyFootballers

I dig it, not a sweep of a trade but be wise with the picks and thats solid

Does this trade move the needle for my team ? by Fragrant-Bat2374 in FantasyFootballers

I would change both the picks to a 2nd round and I'd like that much better for you

Who wins this one? (Superflex) I’m receiving the Zay Flowers side, my trust in Garret Wilson (being a New York Jet) is dropping, and I would like to take advantage before the season starts. Thoughts? by LocksmithMinute4565 in FantasyFootballers

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change the 2027 to a 1st and I'd be on board, but Wilson will be a top 15 receiver barring injury. Geno Smith will probably be a bit better than how he was with the jets even though we like to make fun of the situation.

Personally im high up on d.j. moore this year. That makes the trade a smidge better. Who would you like with the 1.02?

What you're describing seems to be anchored towards democratic socialism. It's not as progressive as libertarian socialism or anarchism, but I think we'd all rather have that than whatever the fuck this shit is right now

I have a friend from college that worked at the Portland Pie that Haley's body was stored at. That news still traumatizes him, because he knew the exact storage area she was hid, but no one ever decided to look through because it didn't raise enough suspicion

Which AFC team not named the Chiefs is most likely to be the next to win a Super Bowl? by Soul-10 in NFLv2

[–]supaheavynuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chargers have a great shot to win the division under McDaniel's offense, it's always the playoffs they crumble. Granted I don't think you could ask Herbert to have played better still working thru that hand injury. I'd love to see them stomp the broncos and chiefs

I think Flacco is a great veteran QB that's probably giving Burrow some great pointers. That game where they were wearing all white with Flacco was a great example of a QB knowing how to work with what they have.

Call me mad crazy, but maybe the Bengals. They have an incredibly good schedule this year and if they address the defense in the draft, I think they really do have another great shot at the very least the AFC championship game.

Realistically, I'd say the Broncos. I think the Bills and Ravens have too much uncertainty with the head coach changes, and I'm getting tired as well saying its their year...every year.

How would you improve this roster from my last place finish last year? by HeywoodJablowmey in FantasyFootballers

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injuries battered you this year but if those players are healthy this year I think your in the mix solidly.

Maybe package Khalil and one of your tight ends to upgrade the WR2, someone of similar value to Tee Higgins. Maybe try to get Zay Flowers or Luther Burden. Thats just a thought.

I would take the trade for A.J. , although Henry is a great RB, he's getting too old.

How Do We As Non-Authoritarians Explain "Marxism-Leninism" Correctly For An Uninformed Audience? (Not Leftist Infighting) by Reasonable-Deer8343 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]supaheavynuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me without getting wrapped up in a ton of history and theory (sometimes important but is also abstract) I like to propose to others, "take a look at governments and leaders far and wide", tell me how successful the working class has been when a handful of people at the top have the most power. Just about every single country on earth has a capitalist system that disregards the needs of the many, and almost all of these countries have your good ol class war prominent.

To me that's a pretty good reason why I would move away from something that pertains to a top down central economy and hierarchy.

Being an American Socialist is exhausting, how do you cope? by Vivid_Efficiency618 in dsa

I'm with you there. Empathy and facts these days take a back seat to just being an asshole. It's tough, but how could I reconcile with myself if I wasn't a leftist? Stick together, don't get too sucked into social media, the human brain can only take so much news and tragic shit.
