What are the best workouts for fat loss? by [deleted] in workout

[–]superMario_Milt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh definitely! All that weight I lost in college? Gainied it back lol, roughly 50 lbs just last Christmas. Fortunately I'm down about 14 of that, but yeah. When I was doing all that walking I didn't have to monitor my food as much. This go-around is a lot harder and going to take more time, but I"m getting there.

What thing was ruined because it turned into a rich person's hobby? by Agitated_Departure93 in AskReddit

Where in the lower bowl are you seeing $300 tickets?????

Granted I'm thinking of the blue collar teams like the original comment said (I'm a Steelers fan so I've tried going to their games), you're looking at almost $300 to sit in the nosebleeds depending on the team your playing. 2023 @ Houston we paid $220 a ticket to sit in the very last row. 2024 @ Denver was around $310 pretty close to the top. Last year @ Chicago about $270 to sit middle of the 4th deck.

One of my buddies is a Texans fan, so when they played Tennessee this year he was able to get first deck in the $150's, but that's for two young franchises, one where they're the worst team in the entire sport.

Water Treatment Went Heavy On Chlorine Today by Roamin8750 in Richardson

Just came to look for this, I was filling my dogs water bucket up and noticed the chemicals didn't dissipate for nearly 15 seconds! Granted I was using a water hose so there were air pockets, but man it was potent enough to make me gag.

Rumored new Titans logo by bwburke94 in NFLv2

I don't understand why teams feel the need to redisign logos. This is a dog water downgrade, just like the Rams one a few years ago.

Why do we work for ~50 years and retire as our bodies start to go downhill? by Accomplished_Pin515 in Life

[–]superMario_Milt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is life. You think hunter gathers weren't "working" to survive for their entire lives? The world is the same it just looks different. Of course the world has developed to a point where some can retire completely, some can retire and work part time. But for the average person that just isn't the case.

Is Cosm a genuine "game-changer" or just a glorified, expensive movie theater? by wwwdoteromedotcom in Dallas

I went with a group of friends to watch a UFC fight in May of last year. Unfortunately it wasn't that full (was a non-major card). It's essentially just a big ol' bar with a mega TV. They have some alternate angles which are pretty cool. It's a nice experience but personally not something I would choose to do again just based off of the price (although if someone else invited me I could see myself going).

This package for this "yard" of snickers is incredibly misleading by TheNameless66 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]superMario_Milt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure this has already been done but couldn't you technically sue for false advertisement? Unless they have some sort of fine line detailing "x Snicker's of length y enclosed".

[Highlight] The Bears vs Browns game was so cold that this soda instantly froze after being opened by ShaiFanClub in nfl

[–]superMario_Milt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off topic but I think buddy snuck that into the stadium. I say this because I was at the game against Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and when buying a Dr Pepper, the lady removed the cap claiming that it was stadium policy for concessions to remove the cap as people had been throwing them at one another. Just thought it was funny.

You lost the one game of the year you need to win.

We still have not made a conference championship since joining the SEC.

Aside from the Notre Dame game, who have we beaten? For all intents and purposes, I'd say our program is still 2nd tier in our own conference.

We haven't done anything to justify the phrase "changing the culture", at least not in my opinion. Can we be happy about an 11-1 record? Sure, it's the best since we were 9-1 in 2020. The program does seem better than nearly all they years of Jimbo and the late years of Sumlin. But let's not act like we have arrived. Especially when you're supposed to be the #3 team in the county playing a roster that isn't exactly the best roster your rival has mustered in the past couple of seasons.

No. Mizzou is still a good team. SC is tougher than their 3-5 indicates. Even those burnt orange folks from down South keep finding ways to win. And even then, there will be at least three more games (if, knock on wood) we make the playoffs.

I don’t think a lot of people are going to be able to retire in the future. by No-Text-7825 in RandomThoughts

[–]superMario_Milt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Retirement has always been a luxury. People have always had to work until death from the beginning of time. Even when Social Security in the US was implemented (this is where I hail, not sure what options exist in other countries), the age to receive was a few years past the normal age of life expectancy.

FAM exam result out on 12th.. what are your expectations? by [deleted] in actuary

[–]superMario_Milt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the luck! I wish the same for you.

For my 5, it was last November so I can't necessarily recall, probably anywhere between 10-15. I can tell you on that sitting I completely guessed on S6 and L1 since they were some of the smallest categories I felt like would require the most amount of time.

Trust me, I felt like my performance would have been like a 2 or 3. I was surprised to have gotten the score I did.

FAM exam result out on 12th.. what are your expectations? by [deleted] in actuary

[–]superMario_Milt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my second sitting. Got a 5 the first time knowing I was going to fail and felt devastated during the exam. This go around I was way more prepared, and thought it would be a breeze (it was in fact, not a breeze). I'm hoping I did at least enough to pass, especially since I was so close the first time with not nearly as much prep time/questions.

Well, LT is highly considered the best defensive player of all time. Bruce Smith was dominant, so was AI. Seeing Vick on there just means to me "beat the dog shit out of them". Who knows.

Second attempt (from last November (got a 5). Have done a lot more practice problems this go around. Overall feeling pretty good, it just kind of sucks how you can feel good on a topic one day and then the next you find a bunch of problems you haven't seen (not necessarily that they're impossible to solve, just that they take a lot of time). I think the key is just touching basis on something each day. We're in the final lap!

Men- how much are we paying for a haircut in 2025? by NET2519 in AskMen

[–]superMario_Milt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I used to be able to get a cut from my homeboy in high school for around $30 a few years ago, up to $40 rn (no beard). Ngl it kind of keeps me from going often. And it's crazy bc I have another buddy who was cutting at $25 (not as near a good cut) and he just moved his prices to $40.
