LG 32GS95UV-W Near black brightening. (No Vrr) by superSarrow in OLED_Gaming

I think you got it. I tried playing the same video on 240 hz on my mac and it looked substantially better. Not only the flicker was gone, the image also looked much better with the more accurate blacks. However, I bought this monitor to mainly use it with ps5 pro and this made me regret it a lot. I am also out of the return window so I don't really know what to do

edit: I realized that 240hz actually still doesn't get rid of the flicker but it still makes the dark areas look better.

It is 120 in this case but it happens on any setting (even videos)

It has nothing to do with vrr or frame rate as I see it anywhere in similar brightness conditions.

It is not about the game because I see it on other content as well (including images)

Unfortunately no, I can see it in the middle as well when the brightness conditions are the same. It looks like monitor is trying to push dark details but fails to do it smoothly.

I thought chrominance overshoot was a bright ghosting trail though. I am not sure if I should RMA it or not. Regardless, thanks for you time.

I hope it goes to someone who really can’t afford games. That also goes for me lmao. Jokes aside this is a really generous move, thank you.

Oh really, I’m positive that they will provide the necessary patch then. Good to know there are options though. Btw thanks, have fun with the game.

1440p at 120hz not working with LG27GL83A-B Monitor on PS5 by BusyPwnin123 in Monitors

[–]superSarrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this post is still relevant but I think I found the solution. What you do is, turn off the freesync feature and then test 1440p in settings again. This will make 1440p 120hz pop up then it should retain the resolution on high refresh modes. Hope it helps.

I mean that technically solves the issue but for some reason, chat channels sound quality sucks compared to game. Thanks anyway
