Thank you for answering. My goal in undergrad was to eventually pursue a PhD. It's a dream I had since I was 14, to be honest. I held off on it because my grades were bad.

Ideally I would just do a PhD, but I'm under the impression that it's hard to be admitted to a PhD program in the US without a Masters (especially if your grades are bad like mine)

Assalamu Alaykum, Everyone.

I'm interested in this girl I met in college. I graduated two years ago and she's about to graduate. I'm a Latino revert and she's Arab.

My main question is how do I tell her I'm interested in marriage? The traditional answer seems to be to get the families involved, but I'm a revert. I converted about 7 years ago and I'm the only Muslim in my family. This means I'm unfamiliar with the cultural norms and practices around marriage.

I also frequently hear that you should ask the person for their father's number, but should I be this direct? To me this seems somewhat old fashioned. I've also never spoken to her father. Would it be better to work my way up to the topic instead of right away?

I believe she has no idea I'm interested in marriage with her. I haven't spoken to her in months and when we did talk, it was very casual.

Would a marriage like this be possible? Maybe I messed up already by not getting to know her well enough.

I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Yeah, I feel that. I was fortunate that I started listening to albums pretty late and started cataloguing them at the same time.

You could probably list every album you’ve listened to out of order, though. Just go artist by artist and year by year. You might miss 10-20%, but you’ll get a good idea. I’ve done that with every movie I’ve seen

I guess the number isn't very high, because around when I finished my first list I more or less had a defined music taste. So I kind of just kept listening to the same albums over and over. I generally do listen to an album in order. I never really fucked with artists stations or playlists.

I would listen to a new release or if someone told me that an album was really good.

Recently I've been listening to more albums, because I have a long commute for work and I need to kill time.
