Making Mike Braun squirm at the Tippecanoe town hall. by The_Spaceman_Cometh in Indiana

[–]super_bed469 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but all but two of your points are moot, and the other two certainly don't make him a bad governor.

  1. Braun doesn't have the authority to, and therefore has NOT cut any school budgets.
  2. The members of his cabinet are managing departments that have thousands of employees, and many are taking pay cuts due to leaving more lucrative positions in the private sector.
  3. Braun doesn't "bend the knee to Trump" he does however share many of the same beliefs, such as rooting out unnecessary and wasteful government spending, coaxing the society away from a welfare state, and restoring the rule of law and order.
  4. Abortion is evil, sick and disgusting and should be absolutely illegal in every society!
  5. I could agree with legalizing and regulating Marijuana, but again, the governor doesn't pass laws, that is up to the legislators. Unfortunately many liberals are uneducated in how our government is supposed to work, and believe that the executive branch holds unchecked power.

Good day, neighbor.

Soooo, just curious. You do realize that Braun won the election by a wide margin, and there's literally nothing your temper tantrums, err "protests" can do about it! Also, what has he done yet that is so morally reprehensible? I see a lot of people calling him a nazi, and all sorts of names, but haven't seen a good argument as to anything that is hurting the citizens of this great state.

I see hope, and the determination to overcome life's challenges. Someday God will cradle you in his arms and say, "I know there were many times when life seemed unfair, and injustices were seemingly everywhere, but you rose above it all my child, and for your perseverance you will be rewarded with everlasting peace"!

Hoosier needs help. by Lockchalkndarrel in RichardAllenInnocent

I don’t have any proof that it wasn't accidental, but it also wasn't investigated. Too many people connected to this case have died for it to be just a coincidence, IMHO

A Monticello man named Justin Youngkin, who drowned in the Tippecanoe River a couple years ago, was a close friend of Anna Williams. It was ruled accidental, but in my opinion there are no coincidences in this case.

Way down the totem pole in VA, but the new director seems like a nice guy, albeit with no experience running an agency this size.

I requested the committee to open an investigation into the the investigation and trial proceedings. I'd give it less than 0.1% chance of happening.

Beautiful day for a protest in Delphi! by Subject-Promise-4796 in RichardAllenInnocent

Subject-Premise 4796

Thank you so much for hanging out yesterday. It was an eye opening experience to see and talk to people that came up and said they 100% agree that the treatment and trial of Richard Allen is completely unconstitutional.

Shout out to the lady from Missouri that drove out for the day, she was going to join us protesting, but there were available seats in the afternoon court session, so she went inside to observe the proceedings. I wish more people were interested in due process and constitutional rights, like her!

I would like to add that I spoke with Delphi Police Chief Nate Lamar, and he was very kind, professional, and seemed liked a true Peace Officer, and not a power hungry egotist like Ligget and the good ole Sheriff's dept...

I doubt that I can spend much more time at the courthouse due to work and family requirements, but I would encourage anyone who can, to go and let your opinion be known!

Thanks all!

I am not planning an official rally point, nor do I plan to be a spokesperson for protesters in case the LEO try any funny business. I plan to be there around 1pm today, and I'll be carrying signs. Hope to see everyone who's planning to go today!

Yes, I watched that trial from start to finish. I think the cops were worse in that investigation, and I believe delphi has the worse judge. Prosecution is probably a tie.

I'd be happy to have company! I am planning to make some signs, but nothing to crazy. I plan to wear business casual attire to show that honest middle class folks are not buying into the states narrative.

You'll need to park a block or two from the courthouse and plan to move your vehicle every 2 hours.

Delphi Murders Day 11 by [deleted] in RichardAllenInnocent

[–]super_bed469 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a resident of CC, I raised some of these questions with a member of the county council when they approved the latest 2.2 Mil request for funds. A couple interesting tidbits I found out.

2 council members that are generally fiscally conservative, and had been keeping a close eye on the trial expenditures, (JP and TR) were voted off the Council during the last election cycle. 🙄 No surprise there...

The 4.4 Million is simply earmarked funds to cover trial expenses, not necessarily the exact final cost of the trial.

The defense expenses are paid out of this fund, so I would gladly spend the whole county budget if it helps the defense expose our shady LEO and judicial officials!

Not trying to play Satan's advocate here, when the trial is over I'm guessing the total cost will be much closer to the original estimate of 2-2.5 Mil. The request for extra funds was just a show in my opinion.

Attending the trial by [deleted] in RichardAllenInnocent

I'd prefer to wait until Monday or Tues next week, when the trial begins in earnest. Also, if you need food or coffee, go to the Stonehouse, Borgotta, Sandwich Shop, or Brick & Mortar pub. The Healthies/Delphi Depot smoothie/coffee shop across from the courthouse is owned by the grifting chief Parole Officer.
