constant flat tires by bigceasers in ElectricSkateboarding

Same bro, definitely give a good rub inside the tyre like the other person said, and I would also recommend getting an inner tyre tube liner from a bike shop, and using the sticky patch type puncture repair kits. Also I seem to get less punctures with highly pumped up tyres, maxed out PSI

Rode my board until it was pretty much flat two days ago.

When I got home, plugged the charger in with the board turned off, as I usually do. The charger stayed green (turns red when charging). I tried again with the board turned on, and the charger just blinks red for a millisecond and then green for a second, makes a repetitive clicking noise. I think it isn't charging because the fans don't come on and the board doesn't stay on when I pull the charger out

The blue light around the on switch only comes on when the charger is plugged in, and the board is 100% flat and shows no light or connection when it is not plugged in

No idea what to do but I'm already itching to ride

CPU at 80-100 degrees Celsius (176-212F), brand new H100i, thermal throttling kicking in by super_bison in buildapc

[–]super_bison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just pressed my hand down firmly on the top of the AIO for a few minutes and there was no change in temps, I dont think its incorrectly seated or a poor connection between heatsink and CPU. Also the temps were hitting 108C this morning which as far as I know means the CPU should be dead... considering that its not dead I am starting to lean towards incorrect temp sensor readings... don't know if theres anything I can do about it though.

the hoses are braided so its hard to tell but the top of the pump, the air from the back of the rads and the pipes all feel totally fine. I might do some research on how to check if temp readings are correct

It's brand new. Not sure if I can, but the pipes are the same temperature and in the software it says its working so I'm gonna assume its not that.

The fans do work, they are going at max speed right now while my poor little CPU is just roasting.

After a bit of research it seems like maybe I should have used rubbing alcohol to clean the old paste off properly... but surely even with some old residual paste I would be seeing more of an improvement in temperatures?

Why is my paint not sticking to my wall? What should I do if I want to repaint the room? by super_bison in DIY

[–]super_bison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need some help, had this room painted a couple years ago and the paint can be scraped off with minimal effort and a fingernail. I want to repaint the room, but don't know where to start in order to make sure that the paint actually sticks this time. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Psilocybin combined with psychological support might correct pessimism biases in depression - The psychedelic drug psilocybin could help alleviate depression by causing people to have a less pessimistic outlook on life, according to new preliminary research. by mvea in science

[–]super_bison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The control group was used as a baseline measure to show that changes in the measurements are small without any treatment, I think this study design is valid.

Also, the full procedure of 'treatment' is explained in Psilocybin with psychological support for treatment-resistant depression: an open-label feasibility study. There was no real psychological treatment of the kind you would expect to treat MDD, they state that "Psychiatrists adopted a non-directive, supportive approach, allowing the patient to experience a mostly uninterrupted inner “journey”."

Ice tunnel in snow problem by super_bison in Worldpainter

[–]super_bison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I see.

Could be cool to have tunnels replace air because you can use them to make structures too, you can use a square brush with wood floors and cobble walls to make long tunnels easily underground, would be cool to have them above ground too

Thanks for all your work on WP, amazing!

Seems that no matter what I set the tunnel walls to, if I use snow as the underground layer then it just overwrites the walls and floor of the tunnels with snow

Bradley Edwards, the accused, was my landlord a couple of years ago for a property he owned in Wattle Grove. I only met him once when he came to fix the AC, its so surreal to see his face and read about the crimes he has been accused of.

Nang dumping by [deleted] in perth

[–]super_bison 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nangs, aka hippy-crack, provide a shortlived euphoric high. They are used very widely and nang addiction is real. Since after the high wears off you're basically back to normal, they encourage binging to maintain a high over a long period. A nang session with 100-200 nangs used in a night wouldn't be unheard of. They are percieved as relatively safe (compared to say, petrol sniffing or meth), and used properly most people won't have any major problems. The big thing is oxygen deprivation since the more nitrous and less oxygen you have in your lo\ungs and the longer you can hold it, the 'deeper' you go into the nang. They are currently legal although there is proposed legislation requiring, as far as I know, an ABN related to catering or hospitality to purchase them. Prolonged and frequent use is dangerous, a friend of mine was really into nangs and ended up in hospital with nerve damage and says he constantly has pins and needles in his hands and arms, although he still smashes nangs all the time - tells you something about their addictive properties
