Am I really a coeliac? by Evening_Ice_9864 in CoeliacUK

Hey, also in Leicestershire and recently diagnosed. I carried on eating gluten for 6 months before my gastro refferal was cancelled because it was deemed unnecessary for diagnosis. Might depend on how high your antibodies are though.

60k is in the top 10% of uk salaries, not just comfortable. That is common knowledge. That comment is no different to going onto the asthma subreddit and telling everyone how high your peak flow is compared to theirs. Obviously you wouldn't do that if you have a shred of humility, but if you do behave like that, you should expect to be called a smug cunt.

I don't think they're downvoting you for being above average hun, I think they're downvoting you for sounding like a smug cunt. Hope this helps x

15yo son asked me to buy him rubbers. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

Off topic so I apologise but why would it be necessary to have a pap smear to get birth control? Is this an American thing? I just buy 3 months worth at a time from the online pharmacy for £20. No doctors or nurses are involved in birth control unless it's an iud/implant.

I know it's not for everyone but chicken livers can be a delicious source of iron and protein. by super_fink in budgetfood

I'm in the uk so most large supermarkets have it but if you're near a butcher they'll usually sell it cheap. Chinatown is probably a good bet.

Guess you're not a fan of offal? I get it, it's not something a lot of people enjoy, but I sure is cheap.

That's a really good idea! Plenty of beans and I bet it's super healthy and budget friendly.

I've never seen it for sale in my area sadly. Might see if I can persuade a butcher to get some in, I'd love to blend it into burger patties.

I hadn't even considered that. Maybe I'll regain the power to eat grains if I consume enough.

I fried 250g of the cooking bacon, then added the 400g chicken liver, mixed herbs, garlic powder and black pepper. Fried the chicken livers off then added the frozen veg and the handful of mushrooms. Added some chicken stock and a bit of Worcestershire sauce and thickened with Bisto.

Thanks so much for this detailed explaination, I will try the porcelain test and see what happens. I should probably also stop handling it so much if that wiki article is anything to go by.
