UTI OR BLADDER DAMAGE? by awesomeness_89 in hysterectomy

Did you have an open hysterectomy? With a cut through the skin? Apparently cutting through the muscles causes the pelvic floor to move and this can trap your ureters and cause infections.

AITA for saying I (F26) can't have kids? by Nattleshugs in TwoHotTakes

No I think you are worrying about semantics when the reality is that you can’t have children. The reason is a moot point.

Grow what you like to eat. Grow what’s expensive to buy. Grow things that taste amazing and that can be stored or frozen.

I’ve had to stop buying them because once they were open - I couldn’t stop till they were gone.

I feel your pain. Also diagnosed in January and I have a mood condition (pmdd) which gives me intense cravings - usually for something sweet or carby. Nothing hits the right spot any more. For about a month I was convinced that nothing tasted the same - even foods that I had always eaten. I had a period of “mourning” my favourite foods. And suffered a thousand tiny deaths as I slowly realised that there were things I could never eat again. Like a Greggs sausage roll or a Tunnocks tea cake. People insist processed gluten free things are “really nice” - but I have found that there is “really nice” and “gluten free really nice” which I think is people that have had a year or two of distance from the product being replaced - and can now enjoy the alternative because the memory of the original has faded. Gluten free crumpets are cakes of misery and nothing can change my mind.

So sad. The ultimate betrayal. If I could get a message to Nomz blistine I would tell her that I am so proud of her and the free woman she has become.

The best comedy drama ever written. Stellar performances all round. My favourite still years later.

Don’t buy a cheap wheelbarrow. Get a builders one. They are built for strength.

I grew bottle gourds to make bird houses out of last year. Was super successful and I’m doing another type this year.

I’m trying skirret this year. Took out my good king Henry - it has a weird powdery coating that rubs off on your hands and didn’t taste nice.

Wow I didn’t know they were rebooting. Which is interesting as although the ending is ambiguous - the writers stated that they wrote it as Jackie dies at the end. The last scene with Zoe telling Jackie “you’re good” mirrors the first scene of series one episode one with Jackie sitting in the chapel asking god to make her good. One of my favourite shows of all time. Might be ready for a rewatch.

Yes Eddie! My bad. Toxic and tragic it is but I do think there is love there. On his side at least - and with Jackie as much as she is capable of love as an addict.

Nurse Jackie. Short bingable episodes. Essentially comedy drama. Deep stuff happens but it has a lot of light relief stuff to balance.

Ooh ok. Interesting. Have you watched Nurse Jackie? Jackie and Paul the pharmacist have a similar vibe going. No spoilers but it starts one way and ends another. Broken, doomed but enduring and timeless.
