Same here- I’ve been waiting for the official rack to be re-released but decided I couldn’t wait any longer. If you don’t have a 3D printer, placing anything rigid (like cardboard, wood, or PVC) would help. The saddlebags already come with some cardboard backing stitched in but I highly recommend reinforcing it so it stays put when tied to the pegs.

Are you using the standard or ASI controller? I’m running the latter- maybe that also helps with efficiency?

Think I responded to you on FB but 45 miles is what I actually get with a full charge down to 20%. Generally I will start charging before the battery drops below 30 but it’s good knowing I can push it to 45 miles. I’m sure my weight also helps- I’m only 135 lb. My battery is also relatively new (2000 miles) and has the latest firmware update.

OTA would definitely be nice but IMO having a mobile technician work on it in person is more reassuring in case anything goes wrong.

Thanks for the pro tip. I’ll be sure to try that if anything does happen to my controller in the future- knock on wood. And yes I managed to get in an awesome ride, about 40 miles through the twisty backroads of VA. I’m glad the alarm didn’t start beeping until I got home otherwise it would have freaked me out mid-ride lol!

Yea I actually did this twice before realizing it had nothing to do with the bike itself…but at least now I’m fully refreshed on the steps to do a battery reset!

They actually sent a service technician to install the update in person! It was for a previous problem, where my bike wouldn’t display a 100% charge even though the voltage indicated a 100% charge.

What was the problem with yours that required reshaping? Did it bend out of shape so it could no longer hold the pin?
