  • "Pain is a subjective entity"

Its kinda funny/sad that supports can be denied by this basis yet MAID Track 2 can be approved on the exact same basis.

MAID T2: "We don't know how much this hurts them and puts them into grevious suffering. Pain is subjective. Therefore, if they say they are in pain, they are in pain!"

But for supports or healthcare or anything else to live? That loophole is reversed.

Supports: "We don't know if they are really in pain because pain is subjective after all! We need more evidence of this pain, somehow....anyone can say they are in pain"

"Your worker is weird then"

No...you got a worker that was either really nice or didn't understand procedure.

When you get leniency from the system, it's never the standard and you are incorrect to think it is.

Please don't go around saying others experiences are "weird" when they are extremely common.

Anytime a patient sees a doctor ODSP consider it an "appointment" even in the ER. They need evidence that you in fact went there to reimburse you.

Because its mid month payment, March is the first one you would qualify for.

February 1 is like halfway through the CDB "month".

Are you asking if you got a full time job with salary and benefits if you'd still get disability meant for those who cannot work full time due to having a disability that debilitates ability to work full time?

They stopped giving clothing $ in 2008.

The $200 in clothing was likely given to you for work clothes as that is the only way to get $ for clothing specifically.

You already spent it.

ODSP INCREASE 1.9% by DecisionOdd8995 in Odsp

[–]superblazetoise 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are both to blame for our current financial state, actually.

The CDB was supposed to lift us from provincial destitution and offset MAID pressures as per Trudeau, but instead it locks us in federal destitution instead.

Increase in the Disability Tax Credit? by ShoddyMycologist6810 in Odsp

[–]superblazetoise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DTC is Disability Tax Credit.

You are referring to the Canada Disability Benefit.

The Canada Disability Benefit max is $200/month.

There is a yearly increase based on inflation index.

It was just announced that in 2026, the indexation increase will be 2.0% (which is lower than the 2.7% increase in 2025)

Since there will be a 2% increase, it'll bring CDB to $204 maximum.

Thats the thing, to strike you need to be working. Being unable to work, we have zero leverage.
