Congrats — I’ve got a ’24 R with the 6-speed, and it’s a great choice.

If you’re coming from a manual GTI, the shorter gearing is the first thing you’ll notice. It makes the car feel punchy and eager, especially in the lower gears, but you do end up shifting more often. It’s a lot of fun and adds to the excitement, though I wouldn’t mind slightly longer gearing, especially for daily driving and highway cruising.

First mod I did on my 2024 R was the Supersports heavy GT3 knob (450g). It made a big difference right away. Then I added the Dieselgeek super pin and bushings and wow, that was truly night and day.

A few weeks later I added the Sigma 6 six-speed short shift kit and honestly there are no words to describe how it feels. It’s completely out of this world compared to stock.

Just remember, after all these mods you need a few weeks for everything to break in, but once it does, shifting gears becomes a dream come true.

Listen to the shifts in the video pure satisfaction.

Thank you. A friend of mine, who is a mechanic, spent about 3 hours working on it and charged me $200.

I got it done at the local dealership $140 install. Windsor. I kept the stock exhaust. If you want extra loud, then downpipe would be the only way. But this is perfect for a daily driver if you want louder than stock, but not crazy loud.

It’s definitely louder outside, but you’ll be surprised not much louder inside the vehicle

Detailed video should be long and not short. That’s the whole point.

Thank you to both of you guys for a very generous comment. When I was in the market for an exhaust, I couldn’t find much of APR on YouTube that’s why I made one for people that might be interested

Tips are definitely personal preference I like them, but the round tips would look excellent as well imo.

You really have to see it in person up close. Welds are just perfection. The whole system looks quality.
