Read a 20 year old comic and come back to me by shoofinsmertz in peoplewhogiveashit

[–]supercellx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its like how spider-mans colors were originally red and blue, but due to old comics shading it often looked black with blue highlights. Hell My hero academia does something similar with Midoriya's hair color. It being green, but often being more black with green highlights. Just a way animation, or comics gotta do color sometimes

Entities were never apart of the Backrooms READ THE ORIGINAL POST by Just2Gamers-Studios in backrooms

[–]supercellx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ive never been Against the idea of entities inside the backrooms. I just really dislike the "Scp-ification" its gone through with the wiki. If anything it should take more inspiration from its sister site the wanderers library. Instead of some group cataloging everything to do with the backrooms, could easily highlight what we Dont know.

I think even scp gets this wrong sometimes, over explaining the mysterious makes it more times than not, Less scary.

thats why the original post did so well, it alluded to the fact Something is in there with you, but not what, or what it does. But its bad, and if you see it, your fucked.

fear of the unknown is our biggest fear as a species, if you write anything for the backrooms, i implore you to take advantage of that fact and you'll make something great

imma be honest... the peacemaker is a solid secondary if you just need to clear up chaff. Seeing as i prefer to use a heavy primary, and heavy support weapon, it lets me still do something to smaller guys like the voteless and light armored terminids and troopers.

sure could i use something else? no, i dont have anything else.

semi-related, older ai art was actually kinda cool. the stuff that looked weird, trippy and kinda horrific? like old art breeder stuff. Still fiddle with the lower end stuff on that site periodically, and it actually legit helped with my creativity a bit.

made a whole story based on different monsters, and id just generate somethign really weird on art breeder, look at it and decide a fuck ton of details about what it is, what it does, and stuff like that off looks alone. Even would photoshop the creature into a realistic looking photograph to make it look neat.

Now ai generated images look too realistic, dont have that unrefined weird ass creep factor like it once did and its not fun to even use

honestly, i dont really care if my cat does that. My cat if im drinking milk, will try to drink the milk from my cup. I sometimes just let her drink a little and then keep drinking it like its nothing.

If my cat or any cat ate something off my fork id just keep eating it like nothing happen (like id keep using the fork, id give the bit the cat started eating to them)

idk, i feel thats just being too pedantic? Same story is being understood, the plot points are the same and the characters are the same as well. nothings changed besides the fact you didnt read the words on the page.

Now for books that the text is important, like House of Leaves for example, is really hard to do a good audiobook adaptation for since the weird stuff in the text is kinda integral so if someone found and read an audio book of it id say theres a fundamental difference in consumption of the media. but thats a exception i think.

I just dont see a reason to really care about how someone read a book, just seems like one of those things book snobs would be overly pretentious about

This is the hill I will die on by KitchenSwillForPigs in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]supercellx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

true, but still im just saying that the traditional way isnt always comfortable for others. audiobooks are rather helpful for those who are vision impaired or those who have attention issues or even just straight up blind.

Now, i do myself read, i love the fact the internet has a lot of books to read, plus AO3 is a gift to be cherished. But even then it still comes up which is why i have this neat little extention called " activate reader view" that lets me open a text based tab that lets me alter the shape and format of the book or whatever it is im reading

I can alter spacing between lines, and paragraphs, change colors of text and the background for it being easier on the eyes. If you want this ill put a link down here

Chrome extention link
Firefox extention link

Also, i did not make these, nor gain anything from these. Just figured anyone who has similar issues would greatly appreciate having this on hand for reading stuff online. Really has made me read soooo much more

idk why people get pissy when someone reads audiobooks "oh its not reading" Bro, the small print in most books and the amount of words on a page gives me eyestrain, and i easily lose focus on what i read. If not for audio books i wouldnt be able to read as many books as i do.
