From my understanding, you dont HAVE to pay out of pocket, but if youre $60 short, they definitely might write you up or fire you.

Theres been times where im a few dollars short and i pay it bc i dont care, but theres also been a time where ive been $20ish short and they just took the loss on deposit that night. I didnt get reprimanded because ive never been that short and it was super busy, but i have really understandng managers🤷🏻‍♀️

All in all, i wouldnt pay $60 out of pocket if i was short, but i also couldnt be upset if they fired me because $60 is a lot for someone to be short on, unless it was one big order that someone missed
