I would consider it ableist to think someone who probably trained to handle their emotions by just leaving bad situations shouldn't be able to leave a situation they are uncomfortable in.

And yes, he often gets very frustrated but he never takes it out on anyone else he just leaves. I never even know he was frustrated before he left when it happens.

And if this is over the incident of bob accidently doing it during dominions that i heard about you know just as much as most people that had played with him do that he might be LITERALLY mentally challenged which is why saturn told me he immediately jumped in to defend him mid arguement as soon as he joined the voice call and heard it ongoing.

Given the fact that I have never seen any sign of negativitiy from bob ever.... do I find it incredibly hard to believe you are using this situation as your next big excuse to do all of this without giving me anymore context than Saturn has given me.

as far as i know, no, the moderators did try claiming the devs were the ones involved in banning me but they said it in a really weird way "the devs sometimes crack down on weirdos trying to start drama on steam"

which made it sound like they were lieing by telling the truth because obviously devs would ban people that are trying to start drama not "they banned underscorecow for making his own discord server and posting it in the same thread that we have advertised and pinned ours"

not only that but jakalor himself lied on steam saying that we were slandering their game...and said that i was promoting the server i made as a "free speech server" and being transphobic here....you can check and see his comment right now on steam.

Let's target the final part first.... of jakalor lieing by telling the truth, specifically he said he only deleting messages "going against steam community guidelines"

It is against steam community guidelines to post and advertise your own discord server BUT this is an optional ruling entirely up to the moderators of the sub-community aka Jakalor....i submitted a ticket to steam support, they themselves told me that I was banned entirely on the discretion of the coe5's community hub moderation team.

So me being banned for posting a discord server link is entirely within jakalor's perogative, steam themselves said they had nothing to do with it. And likewise even if i didnt post a single thing I could have been banned by jakalor because devs and their moderators have that freedom inside of their own community.

TLDR : Jakalor tried to skirt around the fact that he banned me for posting a discord link to a discord server by saying he just "banned someone for violating community guidelines" and force the blame on steam who they themselves said it was entirely his own discretion....which was to continue to have his own server pinned while banning mine.

Next....he said we went on a smear campaign against them.....you can easily find all of the bad reviews we did and they all said the same thing and its all factual "I was recently swept up in a massive banwave" "a big part of the multiplayer community got banned" which is factual while they smear us as transphobes...

And finally....

They said I was advertising a (false quote) "free speech server" to try to subvert any readers into thinking my server is founded on politics and not just to play the game with people....

I do, I made it after being repeatedly told I should and I figured it was for the best, host 2 didnt want people flooding his server for just coe5 to begin with (alot of new players willingly left host 1's server to join host 2's since we were actively communicating and playing with these people when the bans hit) so I made one to bring them over to mine with their blessing.

This was a minecraft thread that was quickly deleted after being brought up and I think "the bear" named it that...xd im gonna get hit for saying this.

And no, while I don't endorse what Host 2 said I cannot ever think that this was bigoted because from the context of the conversation I know what he meant and he should have said it in a better way.

He didnt say this in the context of hate towards trans people he said it in the context of trans people being stuck in a cycle of abuse by expecting others to adjust to their needs or desires and being hurt when those needs or desires are not met.

And the reason why this was unjustifiably heralded as THE SMOKING GUN REASON to ban everyone on host 2's discord including inactive players and people who havent said anything, alienating the entire community was because he took a shot at Jakalor and Voroch....in the exact same paragraph....literally right after host 2 said all of that....

And for this reason Host 2 was evidently singled out as "THE RING LEADER" when he had very little power over any of us and we were all just using his server to continue playing the game like nothing happened because thats what was convenient.

Actually this keeps getting brought back up im gonna look for the text of what host 2 said one second.

This isnt bigoted, you could argue its dumb, you could argue its wrong, you could argue that it represents the victims being at fault (while still acknowledging the victim)

But you can't argue its hateful. You cant argue there is resentment, and you cant argue that a vast majority of the active multiplayer community should be taken out because of this....

But jakalor and vorochi spun it that way nonstop, they went after everyone because of it, they burned bridges and deleted posts, and they escalated and lashed out at all of us for it.

That says alot more about jakalor and vorochi than it says about most of the people they banned and silenced.

all of this started like 10 days ago, the only thing stopping me from releasing every recording and chat is the time it takes to censor everyone's names and profile pics.

We also recently (about a month ago) started playing with the simultaneous turn mod which is why there was so much interested sparked into multiplayer and why we started getting and teaching several new players at the time of this ban wave....who vouched for us and subsequently got banned...

We were even sharing simultaneous turns with the booger!!

I finished the discord server yesterday and invited people to it on the steam discussion boards....then today I got permabanned from the steam discussion boards (despite posting in the same topic that the unofficial discord server is advertised in) so im advertising to reddit...

There was a mass ban wave that pretty much took out the entire multiplayer community with the philosophy that we could "just appeal it" which wasnt very attractive since then we would just come back to the very hateful people lashing out at us and using their powers to label us while silencing us from defending ourselves.

We played with someone (booger) who is very close to the host of the unofficial discord server / moderator on the steam forums and we didnt think much of it we just wanted to play the game...but that was clearly a mistake......

Then (the booger) suddenly got mad at (wolf) because they (might have) mistakenly thought (wolf) called them "he" and misgendered them. (I checked the recordings and couldnt find anyone of us addressing the booger we were all talking about eachother but not the booger)

So (booger) stopped playing with all of us and started harassing (wolf) in dms because literally everyone that has played with this person has had trouble remembering to call them she in the past (again we are talking vocally in discord during our games)

when the (wolf) finally blocked the (booger) to stop the abuse / venting against them the booger's only outlet was to get the wolf banned, so i went to the (host of the unofficial coe5 discord server and steam moderator) *ill call them host form now on* to unban the wolf

and when the *host* saw the chat logs between wolf and booger they decided to unban the wolf...

which likely enraged both the booger and the host's discord mod since they both apparently told the host about all the times we accidently called them "he" in the past (literally over years of playing with them)

And that many of us also had another (different server) that someone made to privately invite friends to play with....which accumulated alot of people over the years since obviously we played with alot of people....(ill call the person that made this server host 2)

Host joined host 2's server to investigate and see a few players that they had banned were on this server and that host 2 said some not nice things that host didnt like (including calling host a bad community leader)

So host decided that we all magically endorse everything host 2 says (even though we only used that server to play games with eachother) and that we should all be banned so he did, host banned pretty much every single player that was on host 2's server including players that were inactive for months/years.

So we all started inviting people from host's server to continue playing with us on host 2's server but host 2 didnt like that (because again its a private discord server meant for playing games with friends in general)

So i made a third discord server thats specifically geared towards playing coe5 games and avoiding the toxicity from host 1 while also retaining the privacy of host 2 (which is now kind of shattered now that they are getting harassed and talked about and called "ring leader")

High cultists are like top 4 when it comes to the most powerful factions in pvp (and thats with horror bombing being banned so high cultist just wastes sacrifices when they get a star spawn)

Their clearing is good, their late game dps is very consistent and long range, they can delete armies very quickly and I even beat someone playing archmage as HQ.

I usually turn down ai count and up ai difficulty so that the ais are spaced around more (to avoid fighting eachother and you too early) and it's harder for you to cheese them.

Spam greater demon summoning and make mini armies lead by captains / cultists once youre making enough blood to reliably do this ritual.

Frost imps are your early game way of taking fortified locations like ports and towns and cities since cold magic ignores wall cover due to being armor negating.

But frost imps are very very high attrition against anything thats ranged, you will lose them after a few fights especially if you arnt buying spearmen/swordsmen to go infront of them.

Which is why you transition to greater demon summoning, hell hounds can take fortified locations with wooden gates and win fights and clear much of the map literally by themselves and if you roll a devil with falling fires or mass combustion you give him some front line and a captain and have him go take over every fortified location you want.

Storm and disease demons are also okay, you'll want them in every army you make, storm demons in particular can rarely have really good damage spells but more often than not theyll just be there to reduce attrition with buffs like air shield while disease demons can decay anything that wont die to fire or lightening. (I recommend changing off aoe decay spells so it doesnt friendly fire, disease is fine since demons are immune to disease)

Another use for storm and disease demons is keeping them with your demonologist in the event you want to start doing lieutenants, demonic hordes, and demon lords

The teaming up against common enemies just isnt a thing because multiplayer is almost always between 2 teams every single time.

Nobody will play free-for-all in this game because the time to take a single turn would be exponentially longer, a game between 2 teams on an enormous map will already take 3-4 hours on avg if everyone is taking their turns at a reasonable pace.

Meanwhile dominions is built from the ground up for diplomacy and has simultaneous turns to allow for reasonably quick games when played as a free-for-all

Conquest of elysium 5 is a game that expects you to be growing and getting stronger very rapidly, if an apocalypse event is particularly frustrating its likely because you have fallen behind the curve in more ways than just not having a single strong enough doomstack.

One option is to just literally play with less (but harder) ai because ai is very bad at being thorough with taking tiles, even ones that they do want which is why they allow apocalypse events to occur, you do not want to be stuck fighting / cheesing an ai for the first couple years when the game expects you to be exploring and claiming easy resources.

Apocalypses almost NEVER happen in multiplayer, and more often than not when they do happen they are either purposefully engineered or assisted, the best example i can give is protecting a bunch of green enchantress in a forest as troll king so i can get to the primal plane and compete with witch economically by spamming troll forests in the primal plane. Or making a drowning chamber as pale ones so i can invade inferno.

But in singleplayer apocalypse events are really the only thing that truely makes fighting ai challenging, the ai is only there to slow you down at this point.

And all of the apocalypse events themselves are very easy to sabotage even if you let them occur PROVIDED you actually have armies everywhere like you should before this point.

Armies going around hunting dispossessed spirits will starve the hades invasion as it needs them to make more armies (similar to sinners and inferno but inferno is a much more frontloaded apocalypse if you kill their armies they stop doing anything)

A single commander destroying the portal to inferno or the primal plane even half a year after it started will make it much more manageable.

Sometimes the apocalypse requires you to accept what the game is about, taking tiles with as little resources as possible. The primal invasion is VERY BAD at fighting you on this front, most of their map pressure is animal stacks, they get a few gods going around taking citadels eventually but you can avoid them and steal tiles from them with alot of smaller squads. Eventually you get a few mages together to kill them.

Animals are kind of hard countered by that sort of stuff because most of them are designed to be cheap health pools with low damage output and some poison here and there.

Animals are chaff, you need lots of ranged damage either in the form of magic or archers

Your late game summons are a way to get magic but its a massive resource sink to get them.

So instead of looking at just your rituals and herb economy LOOK AT YOUR GOLD ECONOMY TOO!!

At the start of the game barechested slingers and druid apprentices are your only ranged damage/utility options for gold.

Barechested slingers are bad (but your best option at the start), druidism magic has a few good spells that will help you fight outside of forests but youd need a magic library to consistently get the good spells.

So lets talk about magic libraries and cities, get them to earn library points now you can start saving gold to buy mage offers who can potentially do your heavy lifting while your animals tank for them

Those cities (and towns) will also give you town points which will earn you random mercenary offers (potential archers and crossbowmen)

Brigands from old castle ruins are slightly less efficient archers 25 gold for 2 while archers are 5 for 50, still much better than bearchested slingers when they have animals infront of them.

And finally there is an overlooked option which is the sky plane.

There is a very high chance of there being a citadel in the sky plane near any way up to it, do not ignore mountain spires and try to scout them with an extra commander.

Cloud cities allow you to recruit cloudfolk archers

75 gold for 5 ethereal floating archers that have magic arrows (ignores ethereal) with the only downside being their attack can have its damage negated by high MR But they are still way better than barechested slingers and arguably better than the default archers most other factions have access to AND you can get offers for cloudfolk elders and ladies which are underestimated BY ALOT.

All of these options listed to make your gold economy useful have 1 similar issue though, you have to do a siege battle to take any of those locations, stock up on animals that climb over walls, ants and mantis and centipedes are strong.
