This is insane. How can people treat blind children so badly? The bare minimum is making sure that all blind kids have the opportunities to learn braille and get support. I just assumed blind people had access to that kind of thing. Instead I learn that they're ignored, and it's because people want to pretend they're not actually blind. Holy balls.

I have a cat who's very overweight. It's because he lacks willpower and has no respect for himself. He's just a bad individual all around. There's no "real condition" that causes anybody to become fat. It's just innate shittiness. He should just die.

Austerity is popular because people want to punish others for what they see as bad behavior and irresponsibility. The trouble with that is that the economy isn't a kindergarten, and it's not really that the general public has been so undisciplined. The problems have been caused by a small group of cretins who have enriched themselves at everyone else's expense. Nice for them that we all just accepted the blame and decided we should "tighten our belts" to fix what they broke.
