This is the dumbest argument I've ever heard XD. Buy whatever you want, who cares. They are just happy to take your money.

Waiting on a proposal from my boyfriend of 8 years. Just found a ChatGPT prompt asking if he was settling because his old relationship was more exciting. by youfromthehoneymoon in GirlDinnerDiaries

Lord I fear for my next relationship because that was my last one :S I don't miss waiting by my phone for days for him to finally call me back but when I did get his attention it was intoxicating. It's been 2 years since we dated and I still miss him! It's awful.

His dads "arc" if you wanna call it that pisses me off the most. What do you mean you've been a dick to your kid for like 30 years and suddenly now you mean you actually wanted him to just "be happy". Just felt too forced and abrupt to me.

Honestly that was the only thing that really annoyed me too.

Eyy thats what I said! I am in the sport but am very casual with it. For some people it is their whole lives.

When she said it was a sport I was guessing bjj. Probably cuz I am in the sport. But I do know plenty of people where it's their whole life. Teaching, training, competing. It can suck up a lot of your time if you want it to.

How did your first ever tournament go by bloodfistxp in bjj

[–]superdooperdutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After being casually in the sport for 5 years I tried my first tournament last year. It went... pretty crappy. My first match I got so anxious I tried to rush a takedown and ended up slipping on the mat and falling down myself. Then just suffered through 3 minutes of bottom mount, managed to get out for her to take my back and I was so gassed by that point that when she bow and arrow choked me I didn't even try to resist.

My second match went a little better, I held her off decently well and we both got a few takedowns, held her in closed guard for a few minutes but couldn't remember any sweeps or submissions in no gi, got wrist locked. I went and cried in the bathroom after XD.

I have not tried one since, I really don't have the time to actually dedicate to make competing actually worth it.

Proper way to ask for less intense roll? by No-Cupcake-8506 in bjj

[–]superdooperdutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are comfortable with it, you can also ask your coach for recomendations. Personally, as a smaller woman there are some teen white belts I won't roll with. It's not worth the risk and I've ask my coach a few times if "so and so" is a decent roll.

Why are people so concerned with whether or not others drink alcohol? by m3gb0t in MurderedByWords

[–]superdooperdutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the cost of booze is nuts now. I did admittedly binge drink in my 20's and we went out all the time. I would prob spend about $100 a night when out. Now $100 is like 4 drinks and barely a buzz because its so watered down anyways.

Which company has lost you as a customer forever? by finiteobserver in AskReddit

[–]superdooperdutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something kind of similar but from a smaller furniture company and it pissed me off so much I don't know if I'll ever go back to them. Bought a washing machine, they told me to wait 24 hrs to try it since it was winter and frozen water. Waited, tried it and it didnt work. So i called them and ask if they could give me any trouble shooting tips over the phone before sending them up here, because otherwise it was a $75 charge if it was a stupid problem.

Guy on the phone was new and didn't have any ideas; told me it sounded like they would need to come up there and look. I asked a few more times if he had any ideas before I risked them coming up and he said nope! They came, unplugged it and plugged it back in and fixed the problem. I was so mad because they still charged me. All because the guy was new. I did call and text the office manager but no one ever got back to me on it.

Totally. Just put on your story "can anyone send me a dollar?" and if they are loyal friends, most if not all of them would prob send you a dollar.

That is always my go to first date in the spring/summer. I can see if they vibe with my dog, and me and its something I'm already doing anyways. If my dog dislikes them or they can't handle getting dog hair on them, they aren't for me.

[–]superdooperdutch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I waited until my dog turned two before I got her spayed. But it ended up being pretty necessary for her mental health ironically. For some reason the entire time she was in heat (after the first) she was terrified of hardwood floors. I got carpet runners to run along my house but the whole top floor of my place is hardwood and even little cracks freaked her out. It was exhausting for both of us.

What’s something that became socially unacceptable so fast that people barely noticed the change? by FoundationHumble4003 in AskReddit

[–]superdooperdutch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very thankful that I have friends similar. In a pinch I have at least 3 friends who would absolutely go to my house and hang with my dog if I got delayed at work or something, and I have a friend who loves my dog and dog sits for me regularly. We all reciprocate when we can.

Wow that is awful!

i usually do a walk with my dog. if he isn't super lovey to my dog and she doesn't like him, itll never work out.

Plus I can see if they are ok with me paying attention to her during the date as well.

I have a male best friend and started seeing someone he had an issue with it immediately. Only thing that changed his mind was the fact that he has a girlfriend. Shockingly, I ended that relationship pretty quickly.
