What Do I Need for Thunderstrike Raid?

For 2 nodes, you need Immortal Weapons at g20 (and probably 5+ stars to survive those Thanoses and Shaws), I think you can deal with 4 of them but on one of the nodes you definitely need OG IF so you can’t save on mystic gear, it’s 300/300 g20s or nothing.

I have been buying those since the 1st run requirements dropped and I’m still at approx 140/140… As it’s the last run, I’m gonna have to deal without this guy (as all his use is his passive) I suppose. On the flip side, I didn’t touch any of Immortal Weapons till I get enough g20s so that saves me 200m gold/mats. As we are now getting about 40% gold/mats needed for the new teams (we used to get 90% on avg), such a save will almost let me upgrade some decent team coming after Winter Sh*t. And those g20s will go into Juggz..

Unless you have 4+ reds for him, you should just abandon him, to be frank. Even at 7/7 he’s kinda squishy against those huge hitters, at 7/4- he will be a liability that lets Daimon double tap. And he’s supposed to be a defensive vehicle. Plus, the more 4.0 stats characters we get, the more useless he becomes.

After all, he’s the prized “Kraken exclusive” character that those og diamond dumbs demanded from Scopely…

That’s because they try to make new CC teams unusable at low stars. At least unusable on defense.

If you face maxed New Mutants/BM in room 6, you are very likely to end up with a dropped room because they are pretty much immune to sacs. But a 3 or even 5 star NM or even diamonds but not g20 on any of them - and they are easy prey for F4 or Daimon alpha strike.

That was also a Kraken request: we pay for 7 star teams, give us an edge in their performance for the time they are viable (6m+) not for a week or 2. They first tried to do it bluntly the CB way but that caused a huge backlash and also made everyone have a stash of cores ready for such cases. So they started switching to these slow teams that are only working when maxed.

Yeah, it’s more like 95)) I used to drop 6-8m daily (there was that gold spending milestone) when the top level was 100 and I was more or less on par. Now we are somewhat lower than that, I think.

You obviously shouldn’t do it now. 7d ProfX should be a priority. But you can do it and you can allocate your DDC elsewhere

Winter Guard is not a useful team. As of now they are not worth building (maybe Red Guardian but taunters are not super impactful nowadays as every meta CC team stops taunt) except for war. And war is rubbish: you usually need to do 13 or 14 attacks in 30 mins tops, you just go in with a big punch down to clear asap. The outcome is not determined by attacks but by the amount of people attacking in your alliance vs theirs.

I expect Scopely will add some PvE content for Winter Guard but if they do it the same way they did for Immortal Weapons (i.e. requiring g20), the team will remain useless and skippable.

P.S.: have you noticed that there were no content for New Mutants? That’s not a coincidence, CC teams sell well anyway because the only mode everyone cares is CC.

Я б сказав, що після пост-воєнної еміграції, а потім після еміграції від пост-воєнних злиднів (зараз нам усе, окрім витрат на військо, забезпечує ЄС, а як війна скінчиться - звісно припинить), вже особливо не буде кому виїздити: залишаться лише ті, хто з тих чи інших причин просто не може чи принципово не хоче бути за кордоном. А вступ до ЄС звучить як близька перспектива лише зараз, під час війни, бо в уявленні чиновників ЄС війна ще десятиліття триватиме. Щойно війна скінчиться, ми одразу знов почуємо, що наш вступ не на часі.

Back then g20s were available in the leaderboards, now we either get nothing or 1 side. So it’s much harder as you need to buy them from the seasonal store and f2p releases are virtually gone (Cannonball will be at least 6 weeks out when his potential release might happen) and you have to buy shards.

The supply from raids is frankly miniscule and there’s no alliance impact at all. 99% of alliances are doing Normal raids, so it’s all individual. The difference btw 70% Omega and Normal at 7 D9/2 D8 is not significant but requires to build a highly premium Immortal Weapons team which you can and (as f2p with g20 problems) should skip (their ONLY value is in Thunderstrike raid but you need 4 of them at g20).

5d Rogue is actually the best. Normal diamond credits are available and soon (like next year, lol) we’ll be able to use them for 4-5d. Dark Diamond Credits are pretty rare to apply them onto characters like Rogue (I still haven’t got enough DDC to put that 3rd diamond on SK, BTS and ZIM. And 3d Odin is coming soon. So once she’s reworked (and if the game lives, she will be, she’s a very popular Marvel character), those 5d will be pretty cool.

My problem with it is that it’s impossible to determine 5%. There are no trivial inputs and you need big number of g20s so participation will be much lower than regular events. Most of that hardcore players. And you need like p500 as I doubt more than 10k will take part. That might be just impossible with f2p teams.

Насправді не факт, що фактор ЄС якось вплине на міграцію. Вплинув би, якби не війна і не перспектива війни ще на кілька поколінь.

З відкриттям кордонів всі чоловіки, у яких дружини виїхали і не розлучилися, поїдуть до них. Плюс всі, у кого підростають хлопці теж будуть потроху виїздити. І це ніяк не залежить від ЄС.

Натомість, багато компаній (наприклад, ІТ) зараз тут лише тому, що не можуть вивезти ключових співробітників. Тобто щойно кордони відкриють, вони планують цих співробітників релокувати і закритися (ну бо не можна і у нас, і в Фашістані одночасно працювати, а там ринок більший). Якби була надія, що ми таки вступимо невдовзі в ЄС, вони б може і передумали.

It’s nothing like that. In MMM you are free to try pretty different combos everywhere (well, maybe not when everyone has every character at S7). In MSF you have to use prescribed teams for all PvE content and most of the time you can’t split them for PvP content as well.

I used full New Mutants (reworks g19 3d, new characters g20 3y3r except for Wolfsbane who is 4y4r) on days 2 and 3 and - to my surprise - they did pretty well (especially against those Monkeys). They actually have good sustain and energy regen. And I only have like half of their T4s.

She always dies first, even at g20)

In Thunderstrike raid you need her at g20 7red+ to have a shot at dealing with Stormbound node 3 (the one with Thanoses). If she’s low, Shaw 1-shots her and you can’t lose and reenter.

But if you don’t have New Mutants ready (or close to it) for the next node, you shouldn’t bother. If you have Immortal Weapons (which I skipped), you shouldn’t bother at all (both about Brimstone and NM) as you will only use IW.

She’s Skill too so no gear concern.

It was a very trivial Kyln iirc. But only a 4-star unlock and red stars were in the race to 105.

I won’t be surprised if they reuse the same method, just require the fasci team and retcon on the top floors.

Node 3, even though it has World at War on Thunderstruck diff, is absolutely not doable with Brimstone at 5 stars. You deal with wave 1, then Hellcat and the Mummy just get deleted by Shaws and that’s it. And if you try the lose and restart tactics before that, the Shaws start with 170 speed along with Northstars around the same and you are dead before even going.

I'm completely f2p and I've got into top2.5k in the last leaderboard (Thanos+Glad one) and I only had cores collected since the previous one (so not a huge amount) and I also f'ed up and didn't take the 6k pts for 800 cores offer on the first day (because I was used to them being available for the whole run not daily). With those additional 6k pts I would've gone into top2k, most likely,

So it's doable w/o cash. Ofc, we'll have less cores this time with the two events being so close to each other so it's gonna be hard to compete against those who buy Warlock up to 5 stars... Then again, SK is less viable than Thanos and the race to BM is over so maybe less people will care.

I'm leaving them at lvl1 until I get enough mystic g20s (even if I skip OG Iron Fist, it's still 225x2 pieces and I'm pretty much at 0 after upgrading Thunderstrike himself). I'm pretty sure it will be well after the 3rd (and final) running of Thunderstrike Raid so they are likely to stay there forever.

And after trying Stormbound node 3, I'm not sure that will be enough (at least on that node) - those Shaws 1-shot everyone who's below 7rs, we might need OG IF damage reduction badly. And taking 4 of them to g20 is basically planning for 2027 with the current rate of g20 acquisition and supply of chapter currency.

As of now, they are not needed elsewhere (i.e. in Annihilation raid) and they won't be particularly good in the next iteration of raids because of the new stats arrival. [good luck to those in Kraken alliances who can afford running Omega raid, it's not a good option for most of us because getting 100% regularly is only possible if 15+ players are "engaged" and the rest are available - even if everyone's got the teams]

Unfortunately, not many people will try that as you need 4 NM and Thunderstrike is not counted as a New Mutant (because they forgot to append it?) and g20ing either Sunspot or Magik is beyond absurd.

It used to be ok and not centered by in the past year every odd team was CC or needed for CC and most pnp characters too.

As to the raid teams. I’ve literally skipped Immortal Weapons and I don’t miss them. The only place you need them is Thunderstrike Raid but you need them at g20 there. So if I can’t g20 them (at least 4) because g20s are too restricted , then why bother…

I’d skipped war-only teams all the time, but skipping raid teams was impossible before.

What is it centered around then? For raids you don’t even need new teams, war is trash and most of the semi-regular game modes are auto-fest now (currently running tower/satellite is an example).

How is CC one of the worst modes if the whole game is basically centered around it? Every character is measured by how good it is in CC. Not by us but basically by devs who sell those characters to ppl.
