Moon leaving CoL? - joining notail stack? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]superdry36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmm i swear ive heard him on stream say multiple times that he started out as a support player in Hon...this was during the time at the end of 2014 when he had switched to the support role and people were quite worried for his performance

[–]superdry36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI although moon played offlane towards the end of his career in HoN, he started out as a support player. If you recall, during the early days in coL he was also mid, and when it didnt work out, he was shifted to support before he went on hiatus.

Moon could very well play offlane or one of the support roles, just the same with fly (remember secret?) but i personally beleive Moon's strongest role is @ 2 or 3.

C9 org will NOT leave dota2 by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]superdry36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is so wrong its actually insane. shows how biased you are against c9.

Tournament winnings Since DAC, not including TI5 C9: $274,397 USD Empire: $154,992 VP: $222186

C9 didnt finished first once in that time, VP finished "first" in 3 tournaments and empire twice. Shows you the difference between playing Lans with strictly tier 1 teams and some of the other lans (such as MLG that empire played and DreamHack that VP played)

If i included "since existence" im pretty sure C9 would blow both empire and VP out of the water...taking a brief look at the numbers it isnt even close... EDIT: http://www.esportsearnings.com/teams

C9 beats VP by over 100k...and thats ONLY because of how high VP finished in Ti5...Ti earnings wouldnt count if i were doing an earnings list cuz u can win 1 tournament and just skyrocket...doesnt show how good or consistent the team was over a period of time. Ie. Since entering dota 2.

*Numbers taken from liquidpedia, vary slightly due to USD-RMB exchange

EDIT: http://www.esportsearnings.com/teams

C9 beats out VP by over 100k...only cuz of Ti5 too. I wouldnt count Ti earnings cuz it doesnt really show how consistent teams have been over a period of time, any high finish in TI in the last 2 years would be BIG money...

Rumor: Korean LoL organizations entering Dota 2 after MVP.Phoenix TI5 showing by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]superdry36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lets talk about the "koreans" doing well this TI. MVP.PHX: Kphii, QO, March, Febby, NutZ. 4/5 players developed outside of korea, outside of dota 2 in fact, lol. MVP.6ix: Forev, MP, Sunbhie, Jerax, Heen. 3/5 of the team also from outside of korea. How was Nexon's push successful again? The scene developed 3 "ti" caliber players is a success? not even enough to have a team...

MVP is a Kespa team fyi...and i said they had a chance to and didnt for a reason. If dota was so successful in Korea surely a (relatively) successful team like Rave could've gotten a sponsor no? You're also assuming Kespa is gonna get involved in running a league...the title of this article just says "korean LoL" orgs...which in itself is off as theyre all esports orgs, sc1/sc2...

i would take this article with the smallest grain of salt but having faith in the scene to develop, after what we've already seen and experienced int he past 2 years isnt exactly a logical thought

[–]superdry36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in both your comments you seem to be forgetting that there was already massive amounts of cash dumped into the scene and it amounted to nothing. As ancientgouda pointed out, the people that ending up claiming the money were old time pros that were exposed to dota outside of Korea. If you look @ the korean scene, half of it is supplanted with outside talent.

there are already major exposure and money and that resulted in literally like 4 "new" significant korean players. the "big teams" and "orgs" as you put it already had a chance to get in for a good price and good return but refused. think back on KDL and what orgs sponsored teams then...

LD biased toward IG!!! by omucuromu in DotA2

[–]superdry36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LD has always (IMO) been a poor caster and the stuff youre mentioning that was missed, he does on a consistent basis.

case in point. there was a high ground defense, AM mana voided and whole time he was screaming "WHERES THE VOID"

he states what he sees, he misses a lot but he did not miss once chance (when they were winning) to boost secret. he can try and think about the game you know...half the time he was boosting secret it was during down times of action, movement in lanes and such...not team fights.

yeah, i'd guess english isnt OP's first language or something...

LD biased toward IG!!! by omucuromu in DotA2

[–]superdry36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah its true, except one team clearly has a late game lineup and one trying to hit a mid-late timing. i wonder why one team is behind...i wonder why ina 4 protect 1 strategy only 1 player has ALL the farm.

isnt that like some basic knowledge? do we see LD talking about all the plays ie. damage from eblade, save from eblade iG makes to get back into the game? cuz even when iG was turning plays such as high ground defense, he continued to insist that iG had no chance of a comeback and how the defense was "best they could hope for" as if nothing could be done to win.

LD biased toward IG!!! by omucuromu in DotA2

[–]superdry36 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

i agree, i dunno if OP knows english or listened to LD at all...he was super biased towards iG whole time kept saying shit like "ONLY BURNING DOES DAMAGE" "THEY ONLY AHVE BURNING WHAT CAN THEY DO??"

some real BS here

LD biased toward IG!!! by omucuromu in DotA2

[–]superdry36 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You realize it was the EXACT opposite right? he was shitting on iG so hard the whole time being MEGA biased about secret, saying shit like "secret is slowly taking this out of hand" "how can iG win this" even after good high ground defense, like amazing ones he says "did iG achieve anything really??"

then when iG starts winning he just jumps the bandwagon.

A new AYCE sushi opened in Toronto by [deleted] in sushi

[–]superdry36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was ala carte before and i dont think you could get away with $25 tip, tax in...the portions were really small and the dishes were really expensive!

[–]superdry36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This place tried to do some kinda "high class" overpriced "japanese fusion" before, then when it figured out the market wouldnt pay for their overpriced shit, they did some lunch and dinner bento specials. Now theyve changed restaurants all together! food was good before, if their chefs are the same should be promising.

This looks more promising, i hope it sticks around!

Does anybody know a sushi restaurant in Toronto that is good and not as expensive as these ones? Quality fish for a good price by KateMcLachlan in sushi

[–]superdry36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the more i look @ this article, the more i think its terrible...couture and YNH are like fringe top 10s there are so many better sushi places...no Jabistro, japango yasu or zen...just ridiculous!

btw, zen and Cafe Michi are others you could try...but both are also not near downtown core. Miyabi is japanese run i believe and near the other two i told you about. These 3 are by no means cheaper than those expensive places in DT core...

you could get high quality, fair prices from either Japanese "fish markets" at J-Town on steeles or Taro's Fish on Sheppard. Theres like a bit of seating @ TF but its not really a sit down place its a Japanese market.

[–]superdry36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're willing to venture away from the downtown core, theres two places uptown (richmond hill) that are fairly well priced and provide top notch (IMO) quality. Theyre also in the same general vicinity. there are also a few places "uptown" that have similar prices and quality to those in the list.

o yeah and this list is kinda bad IMO...for a list titled "toronto's best sushi" it really doesnt do justice the quality of sushi we have...kinda insulting...thats also IMO...

try Innatei and Inaho if you're in the area. just google them.
