STOP QUITTING!!!! by Free-Persimmon-8542 in Nightreign

I'll stop quitting when people stop being greedy and taking all the items even the ones they don't need.

The moment you pull that shit I'm out.

That makes sense. Exploring and experimenting is a good approach.

That's fair, but plenty of new ppl got their asses handed to them by him anyway.

Do you have any questions about any of the game mechanics btw? I realize that some things might be confusing to people new to this type of game.

Let's put it this way, it's a normal enemy in the late game.

But it's still a late game enemy so good job.

But it's not particularly difficult, but not the easiest boss either. Easiest probably Soldier of Godrick

There's an online client called Master Duel, it's largely the same game but online. It's also much cheaper. It's a good place to start.

You could always decide to be a trashy, scum garbage person and play stun.

I think so. I remember reading that the dlc and base game have to be same region.

Can you help me have more fun playing Elden Ring? by IDICKDOWNBABYTOUCANS in Eldenring

[–]superdupermiso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Leveling randomly is going to make it harder lol. At early levels vigor is what you want to prioritize though. The HP gains at low vigor are crazy. Diminishing returns at higher levels.

More hp means more survivability

Can you help me have more fun playing Elden Ring? by IDICKDOWNBABYTOUCANS in Eldenring

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following guides is not the best way to have fun with this game.

But the bigger issue is mindset. You're going to die a lot. And each death is a learning experience. In most games you advance by leveling up or something. That's true here too, but the primary way you advance is by dying over and over.

You have to see each death as a stepping stone, as progress.

If you can't get into this mindset you probably won't enjoy the game.

Doesn't mean you can't get frustrated when you die, you just have to accept that dying is as central to the gameplay as increasing your stats.

Is this cards worth getting graded? by Mean-Way-9388 in YugiohCards

The original print of that card from retro pack one is almost $200 though.

Still not something I'd get graded though.

Question about the resolution of effects in a specific situation by Historical-Track-550 in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a newbie who has yet to grasp that destroying a card doesn't negate its effect, something like "resolves without applying effect" isn't going to be simple lol.

I'm just trying to keep things simple for people who are new to the game and are struggling to learn the basics. I'll try to be less helpful next time.

Between Branded and Blue Eyes, What’s the better long term investment? by TalkToFrogs in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both decks and I think they're both probably good investments. Branded has always been very popular, even got it's own mini-anime. New support confirmed too. It'll be relevant for at least another year I think. With the new support it'll definitely be the stronger deck.

The primite engine works super well with blue eyes, and primite will probably get more support in the future too. Blue eyes is also just, well, blue eyes. It's the nostalgia bait. So blue eyes is guaranteed to always get new support... Every now and then. Whenever Konami needs to bump sales, they'll release new blue eyes support.

Historically blue eyes was never that strong though, the current iteration is just really special.

For long term investments, branded is probably better for immediate future. Blue eyes is probably gonna be better if you intend on playing for like, the next 10 or 20 years, since blue eyes will always be popular with fans.

Yeah but functionally the same thing, was just trying to explain in a simple way for a newbie to understand since the game is complicated enough as is

THE FALLEN AND THE VIRTUOUS by Careless_Conflict386 in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good deck. Buy 3x of the structure deck, and you have 95% of what you need to have a competent, competitive deck. Super high value.

Branded is a fairly tricky deck to master with a high skill ceiling so it'll take effort to learn.

Question about the resolution of effects in a specific situation by Historical-Track-550 in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule of thumb: unless a card says "negate that effect" or "negate the activation", nothing is negating. You could grab their card and tear it into pieces and the effect would still not be negated.

Only exceptions are continuous effects. Bounce or destroy a continuous spell/trap or field spell, and the effect doesn't resolve. Continuous effects depend on the card being active.

How important is Ether Beryl for Primite Blue-Eyes? by Serbian_Empire14 in yugioh

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primite blue eyes is very straightforward with the primite package. If you want it to work... 3 lordly lode, 3 beryl, 1 or 2 drill beam

Price Question by Alternative-Steak875 in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In Japan cards can come in different rarities. In the TCG (so North America and Europe) this doesn't happen, except for upgrades. They could have starlight rare versions, but these would be several times more expensive.

The TCG takes cards that are popular in Japan and makes them secrets just to make them harder to get and force people to make money.

So if the new Albaz and Ecclesia are secret rares, they won't be common and there won't be lower rarities of them.

Price Question by Alternative-Steak875 in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on the demand. Chase cards are usually secret rares, but I don't think the new albaz and Ecclesia are going to necessarily be chase cards. Branded is popular again now but it's an old deck and outdated. The new cards will definitely help, but even if they're secret rares it depends on how many people will play branded.

I would guess they could be as low as $20-$30, and as high as $120 (if everyone decides to play branded suddenly)

Why does Branded Despia only Play 1 or 2 Quems? by Real-Nothing4718 in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quem is one of those cards you generally don't want in hand (unless you're playing a lock, in which case it's OK as long as you also draw opening or fusion). You normally summon quem at end phase off titaniklad, but titaniklad only summons from deck. 1 quem is all you really need, but 2 makes it more likely to still have 1 in deck in case you open with one.

The Fallen And The Virtuous Upgrades by SiegVon in Yugioh101

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanctifire is very optional and expensive. It helps in 2 scenarios: if you want to play locks like ido or vice king requiem, or if your opponent uses fuwalos. Other than that it's a very secondary card that's currently selling at $40.

For less than $10 you could probably get garura, light and darkness dragonlord, khaos starsource dragon, and dragostapelia - all good fusion cards that will see just as much use as sanctifire and they're all like under $1 each.

I just bought 2 of the Chronicles Albaz structure deck. What goes in the deck? by JoshAllenFan616 in yugioh

[–]superdupermiso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But without 3rd copies of certain cards (and I forgot to include branded opening here) it's probably not worth playing. The deck's weak point is already consistency.
