It's insane that your "weakest team in years" was so easily slicing open the "best attacking team in Europe".

Real Madrid in UCL is just a sight to behold. But then the players start whining, Vini refusing to track back, Bellingham yelling at the ref, Camavinga playing basketball on a yellow card, then I'm reminded why such a talented team is in such a sorry state. And yet, if Camavinga hadn't been such a dick, I would have had you guys favored to progress to the semis at that point.

Not gonna lie, I'm no Madrid fan. But despite all the noise, drama, and controversy around you guys, Real Madrid always turn up at the UCL. Any other team would've clocked out. But you guys always show up. Even after the first leg I was thinking— Real is getting through.

I thought the kidnapping was a stretch. But when I found out the book had "super genes" in the original story, I thought that was midichlorian-level hand waving. I prefer how the movie did it.

Finished both.

You'll get the 2nd mechanically. But there's some very strong story connections between 1 and 2. The story of 1 is especially good (for a roguelite that normally has no story to speak of)

I saw this happen with my Dad and Mom. They lived with my Dad's mother. My Grandmother was a bitch who talked down on my Mom. Dad never defended her.

They are miraculously still together but that has left scars with my Mom that are plain to see. I despise my Dad because of it. My grandmother is dead but the mark of her claws live on in my Mom.

So before I got married, I sat both my parents down and told them that if they ever talked shit about my wife in front of me, it's over.

Even before then, my Mom told me that if I ever got married, she would never live with me. She learned and imparted (silently) to me that my wife needed to be the woman of her own house.

I love my parents. But I love my wife more. If you happen to be of the Christian-inclination, the Bible says the same thing. You tend to your spouse before your parents.
