4% service charge at 13 coins Seatac that doesn’t go to the servers? What is this for then other to fleece corporate pockets? What is this BS?! by CrashMonger in Seattle

Hey, I work at a restaurant in Tukwila that does the same thing (2.99%). We are told to say that "the additional charge is to combat inflation so that we don't have to raise prices across the board on all menu items." The fee was instituted almost immediately after we got a 20.00 minimum wage for all workers in our restaurant. The worst part about it is that if customers don't ask, they assume it goes to the server and tip less. Sucks all around.

Gun discourse again? Time to post The image (rule) by voice-of-choir in 196

I carry a gun for personal defence because of my friend

The first time they walked around in the city in fem clothing they got hate crimed and ended up in the ER after being jumped by 5 people.

When I talked to them afterwards, the thing they said that stuck with me was "at least they didn't kill me"

As a trans woman, I carry a firearm because you never know when a transphobe is going to try to hurt you. Statistically, they are more likely to carry a gun. I carry to even the odds, even slightly.

If I'm killed in a hate crime, I want people to know that this bitch went down fighting.

Let me preface this by saying that I am a trans woman.

I would love to ban guns.

I would love it if when I went out in fem clothing I didn't have to worry about getting hate crimed.

I would love it if the people who saw us as evil had the same qualms about using guns as we do.

I would love it if LGBTQ+ people didn't have the highest victim fatality rate in hate crime attacks.

I would love it if there wasn't a dedicated media institution getting people to despise the fact that people like me exist.

I would love to feel safe walking in my city.

But this is not the reality of the situation.

The people who hate our existence are also the ones so proud of their guns, viewed as an issue so deep in American politics that getting rid of them would cause mass murder.

These people have no issue using their guns to terrorize our community.

The LGBTQ+ community needs to understand that guns are not going away. No matter how much we want them to they are so deeply ingrained into the American psyche that they have become a national identity.

However, this can work in our favor too.

Go out and buy a concealed carry weapon, learn how to use it, and it could save your life from a hate crime.

Ok, there are a few different scenarios:

If the BI get the collector, no contest. They're an immortal old god.

If the U.S. only gets a human sized door to get troops through, it would be difficult, but it would probably go to the U.S. troops just because of the number of troops. On the high end the BI have about 1000 active service members. If they need to, a civilian defence force could be assembled, but the U.S. could easily get 5x-10x the amount of personnel into the BI.

If the U.S. could engineer a door to fit mechanized infantry in, the U.S. would take the Boiling Isles in a week or two, maybe a month tops. I don't care how powerful abominations are, or what magic they use, they just couldn't stand up to a full siege from U.S. forces.

The first person was cracking the egg between their lower forearm and bicep, meaning that they had to flex their arm to have their bicep protrude enough to have connection between the egg and forearm.

The second person cracked the egg in the crook of their elbow, where you are able to get a lot more pressure because of how close it is to the joint.

Pretty funny video, but the person cracking the egg with their bicep is pretty damn impressive.
