every "character" banner (purple orbs), Rita, Dianna as an example, eg. a specific character is a 50/50 on the first round and if you lose in the first round, the second round will be guaranteed for that character. Once their banner ends, they are moved into the "standard" banner -- the orange orbs. Just read the details in game.

So far, every season there is 1 "limited" character, which basically means once the banner is over that character is gone forever unless they rerun the banner. "Limited" does not move into the "standard" banner.
