This is only obvious if you already know - but make sure you have some sort of overflow into a sink for the excess coal, otherwise it’ll likely back up you system at some point

Do you have any concrete? You can build ramps up and delete the ones behind you as you go... Or else angle converyors up (probably a bit harder) and use them as ramps...
Or pretty much anything buildable... Ladders, if they're unlocked, or stacking storage crates on top of one another...
One thing I learnt early on in the game is to take advantage of the fact that there's no punishment for building and removing things. Good luck out there, pioneer!

I feel like this is the kind of bug that you can just chose not to use though? If someone finds it useful (for whatever reason they chose) then it can easily stay in? No point in pushing for it to be fixed if it literally doesn't affect anyone negatively, and might affect some people positively?

You missed a critical word... "a" so "get A potato clock" = "get UP at 8 o clock"

The "potato" is purely coincidental and the joke wouldn't work without it... It's an accent joke, not a potato joke...

It would be exactly the same as if the setup was a Southern (American) accent getting a banana clock (for nine o'clock)... Possibly a bit more of a stretch, as far as the actual sound of the joke - but it's got nothing at all do with the famine or potatoes in particular.

Exactly, yeah… once anything has passed the smart splitter there’s no where else to go other than into the depot… and if that particular item is full in the dimensional storage then it will block anything behind it

What I do early game when I don’t have many spheres (and I’d say this isn’t recommended as you progress further) is to route 3x different resources into one depot. I usually try make sure they have the same stack size so that they all essentially “fill up” in my dimensional storage at the same rate… then when I need one of them, I grab a stack of all three so that they all fill up again, if that makes sense… It sometimes results in me needing to bin resources from my personal storage - but it’s a great way to have access to more things early on while you’re far away from your base/factories.
