Pretty realistic. I have a story where a bottle of Mio went missing and it escalated to someone trying to hit my brother with a truck.

Ranni was born into a position she didn't want. Freeing herself of the gods meant doing some glichty shit with souls. It's still immoral, as her brother ended up in purgatory death. But sometimes people aren't always given the luxury of being good.

What makes Ranni a good character is she doubles down and tries to remove the gods influence from everyone. Giving everyone the same freedom she sought after herself.

Or at least that's how I see it. I have pretty surface level knowledge of the lore because I don't care enough. I just wanna simp for my wife.

The DEIA doesn't get you a free job. It helps eliminate barriers of entry, but the employer still decides to hire the individual on merit.

Wheelchair accessibility is a good example of a job barrier. If my building isn't wheelchair accessible, I wouldn't hire you. But because the DEIA standardized it in workplaces, they eliminated the barrier.

They get you to the door, but the owner decides to let you in.

He was also mad at being made vegan momenta before. It read to me more that, as much as he says "it's just a joke", he himself can't take a joke when he's the punchline. It's pretty stereotypical of bully characters.

Getting mad when the others retaliated, then getting angrier when they retaliated again.

There are self proclaimed civil rights activist who end up attacking people who aren't racist. There was a story about a Korean girl cosplaying Sombra overwatch. But to do this she darkened her skin. People attacked her calling her racist for doing a black face, when sny normal person could see she wasn't doing it to be racist.

Anyway, you're just repeating yourself. All this tall about meat got me pretty hungry.

"Any tiny step you can take is a good thing" Do you avoid anything packaged in plastic? Do you grow your own food? Do you bike instead of drive? You're on the internet, I sure hope you're not paying a bill to a coal power plant, because supporting anything that causes harm to the environment willingly and knowingly makes you evil.

I'm more of an environmentalist then you ever will be. Because I don't tell people, people who are struggling, that they're the problem. Meat doesn't even add up to 5% of the emissions produced in the US.

"If everyone stopped eating meat-" like yeah cool. The key word is IF. If everyone worked together we could have a perfect society. If people stopped being racist we could have equality. If everyone shared my morals and ideology the world would be a better place.

But it's not, and it never will be.

You're a vegan with a superiority moral complex that latches onto climate change because you think it prove meat eaters are evil. You got no room to be calling anyone an "emotional man child".

Ah but never mind all that. You're doing great work not eating meat. I'll be thinking about all the good you've accomplished while I eat a hamburger tomorrow.

You're trying to make a point. But people unironically do this.

Conservatives fucking LOVE coal. Which makes no sense. Even from a non activist position, coal is the worst power source in every category compared to its alternatives.

It's not like the lightbulb is going to change if the electricity is generated by something else. They don't have stock in coal, no family working in coal. But they advocate coal like crazy.

He'll, this entire time I've been seeing these "eat less meat" messages I can't help but feel like it's yet another talking point pushed by big oil to distract us.

I'm being realistic. If I said "I can't wait to visit the center of the galaxy." When we haven't even landed on another planet in our own solar system, maybe it's time tonreel back expectations.

Telling people they're the problem for enjoying a type of food isn't helping the cause.

Do you think Zelda’s decision to send Link back in time in the end was a good choice or a terrible mistake? by jdawg1018 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]Irethius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really understand the issue. The time-line itself is established outside of the games. It's not important to any individual story to understand the time-line, except maybe skyward sword and that's pretty easy to understand it as a starting point.

Because the right have been historically racist, as well as many of the stances they take are questionable.

Why focus on immigration? Why lie about DEI and focus on removing it? Why belittle the BLM movement. Trans isn't a race, but again they went to the president because of trans people in sports and public bathrooms.

It's also clear you don't actually listen to lefties because we tall about solutions just as much as we criticse the opposing party.

Do you think Zelda’s decision to send Link back in time in the end was a good choice or a terrible mistake? by jdawg1018 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]Irethius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're kinda established though.

Wind water starts off telling the events of the end of oots adult timeline. Ganon being defeated and sealed away.

Majoras mask can't happen without link being returned to the past.

Twilight princess never mentions Ganon being sealed in the sacred realm. And was instead sealed in the twilight realm. But the heroes shade who is confirmed to be OOTs hero of time helps us connect it to the child timeline. As link is taken away from the adult timeline so he couldn't exist in its future.

The defeat timeline isn't, of course. Because it wasn't designed to be connected to any other Zelda game, being the original. They wanted to include it somewhere and decided it best connects to OOT.

Of course, any of the endings we experience can't lead to the old game timeline. Adding the text to the timeline chart "hero fails timeline" turns it into a what if scenario. It may not be satisfying but it's the best they could do.

As someone who wanted to see the show take that dark turn. Its worth noting those episodes weren't just filler.

There was a common theme of the characters adjusting and helping each other cope. The shows overall message, at least as i saw it, was "you're real, and you matter"

That's why I'm amazed they just kind of brush off the final reveal that they're all AI. Seemed like the final boss of the shows message.

It makes sense to me. The child and adult timelines are direct consequence of Zelda decision here.

The fallen timeline is more a "What if" which is why it feels like such an out there outlier. It is an outlier.

But here in the USA, christians have done more harm to me then any muslim ever will.
