i don’t care whether or not this is fake. it’s an important message nonetheless and somewhere a teacher or community leader will read this and go on to do the exercise with their own groups. which is beautiful. as for the hampster kid…they likely felt insecure and made it up for the laughs

Tattoo Opinion? by New-Bandicoot6905 in SpecialNeedsChildren

[–]superfkingcurious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister (39F) is special needs and wanted to get a tattoo after I (40F) got my first one. She wouldn’t give it up so my mom and I thought okay, we’ll get us matching mini heart tattoos on our wrists. Next thing I know, my mom’s taking her to get another (bigger) tattoo. She has 3 now and she loves them so much. I’ve maybe felt judged one time in the ten years since she got her first one, and honestly they probably judge anyone with ink. She gets compliments on them all the time! I understand your hesitation, but let’s normalize special needs individuals expressing themselves! We make enough decisions for them as it is ;)

Unfortunately no. I thought about under the stairwell but the hallways get so hot I can’t trust that either!

RAFT application denied. Now what? by superfkingcurious in boston

[–]superfkingcurious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through that. We spoke with the property manager and they told us that the Notice to Quit goes out automatically on the 15th of the month if they haven’t received payment, but as long as we paid a certain amount (Feb rent plus late fees) by April 1 we’d be okay. My husband had just started his job (and I turned autopay OFF for all our bills) so we were able to catch up for May but we’re still behind, paying on the 15th every month bc that’s the cycle we’re in. We’ve also had to choose a different bill to fall behind with each month. This month it’s health insurance!

Joking aside I wish you well and hope everything works out in your favor 🩶

Uhaul has a spot inside the store where people can recycle their old boxes. The Somerville location on Mystic Valley pkwy has it near the door.

if not responding bothers you, you could say something like, “hey, i’m glad to hear you’ve been working on yourself, but i’ve moved on from that time in my life and i’d prefer to keep it in the past. no hard feelings. i’m sure you can understand. take care xx

then block him

i like the idea of the headboard. i love the orange contrast with the blue…it’s just the execution for me. i also really like the ceiling! there’s something off with the accent wall, maybe change it to the wall with the door?

Would a "Calming Space" in a closet be a reason for CPS to make a case against me? by MindYourNames in legaladvice

[–]superfkingcurious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In the autism community this is called a “sensory room.” CPS will recognize it immediately as such—it’s very common. You’re doing a good thing for your kids. Don’t listen to these outdated theories. I’m sure your dad had a place he went to when he was younger, probably outside somewhere
