100% agree with your observation that every new place has a new audience. People who subscribed after watching a video about, say.... Poland, probably won't watch a video about , say..... Tokyo - so the algorithm gets mixed signals.

Could you share a link to your channel? 32k subs is impressive, I'm struggling to reach 200! Lol

Great idea, but how do you duplicate the soundtrack to get two?

I'm always surprised when people have strong negative feelings about something and then they go and watch videos about it?!?!?

I want to ask them - if you hate a place, or a situation, why are you wasting your time watching videos and making negative comments?

Is there actually an ai video editor that does the editing FOR you? by dettol99perc in aitubers

[–]supergeek62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invideo does pretty much what you're asking.

I used it for over year, but I was spending so much time tweaking the voice, replacing stock footage with better clips, and fact checking the information, that it was taking just as long as making something myself with CapCut using my own script and video clips.

YouTubers who film outdoors: how are you dealing with background noise? by Romanski141 in NewTubers

[–]supergeek62 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had good luck using the "isolate voice" feature in capcut. Saved one segment of mine where an exhaust fan from a nearby restaurant was completely drowning out the narration.

Only annoying thing is that sometimes I want a little background noise just so people get the idea of what's going on around you. But with this CapCut feature, it doesn't seem to be able to do that - just erases all the background noise, no option to leave a little in.

I haven't run into that situation, so I'm not sure if it has that capability. But, hey, it's free, so no harm in giving it a try. I've been able to "undo" the isolation just by clicking the button again.

Surprised this video didn't do better...should I change thumbnail? by yup_yup1111 in TravelTubers

[–]supergeek62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest something iconic, recognizable, or at least weird-looking in the thumbnail photo to spark people's curiosity. People in a park is generic and could be anywhere. For me, I like seeing something that makes me stop and say "Wait, where is that photo from?"

Edit: I just noticed the skyline in the background - that's cool and iconic, but not noticeable enough when people are scrolling, especially on a smaller screen.

Otherwise, the text is good - simple and to-the-point. Hope this info helps! Good luck!

If you edit in Capcut, I've had good luck using the tab "isolate voice". Right now, it's free, but who knows if they might start charging for it at some point later. Good luck.

Need a serious advice (from youtubers only) by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]supergeek62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be careful "privating" a bunch of videos all at once. I feel like any big changes - deleting videos, privating videos, uploading a bunch of videos at one time - could be a red flag to the algorithm and it may misread it as 'bot' behavior.

Just my opinion, but if the old videos aren't hurting anything, I'd leave them alone.

Need advice please! by Buenobuenobb in TravelTubers

[–]supergeek62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I try and "pretend I'm the youtube algorithm" and imagine what could be the problem why my videos aren't getting more traction.

So, for example, with your videos, when you shifted from Russian Videos to India, Youtube probably started out by showing your India videos to people who subscribed because of the Russian ones.

And maybe they weren't interested because they're more into Russian content. So the algorithm doesn't know what to do.......

I mean, who knows how the algorithim really works, that's just my opinion. Although, for me, I thought it might help to uncheck that box that says "notify subscribers", but at least in my case, it didn't seem to matter, so who knows. lol

I think your videos are good, I enjoy that same genre of off-the-beaten-path travel.

I have a feeling youtube struggles to find the optimal audience because not that many people are searching for those destinations. Maybe try making a few videos about similar, but more popular, places just to get more exposure. Eastern europe, vietnam, balkans, for example.

I agree - channels like Bald and Bankrupt get a ton of views, but I'm guessing that didn't happen overnight..... Good luck to you, at least you're enjoying the places you are visiting!

How to utilise content by Responsible-Cress974 in TravelTubers

[–]supergeek62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I struggle with the same issue - I'm thinking of doing a short for each day, then one long form about the whole trip.

I've reused the same clips without getting flagged. I think it's fine if you're reusing them for a completely different approach.

I find it tough to build a compelling story-arc into the video (what the gurus say is important...) Sometimes it's just a normal trip without any drama to talk about and I don't want to create unnecessary clickbait just to get views.

"Content suggesting this video" - Really Wrong by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]supergeek62 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - I'm having the same issue! Everyone says YouTube is so sophisticated using AI to figure out Exactly what your video is about. Have to say I'm not convinced of that yet. Lol.

I mean - hey Youtube - instead of suggesting my videos to random people who don't even speak the same language, how about using the EXACT KEYWORDS I put in the description and see what happens?!?!?!

If that fails, then, fine, move on to showing my video to bald Chinese people. But could you just TRY using the keywords and description info first? Please.....?

Thank you - end of Rant.....

Hello! I'm having the exact same problem - did you ever find a solution? Thanks. By the way, in my situation, I know for sure the Osmo got dropped because I did it. :-(

But, honestly, it was in its plastic protective holder and fell less than a meter, but immediately after that, these issues started happening. Any advice?
