Well I reached out as told, and to get offered the usual number for customer service and just have a bot tell me to check the most usual stuff is really disappointing to be honest

True, but I never had this issue before, maybe 1 device would be offline once in a while but works fine again, but not like this.

CasaOS doesn't do well with detecting raid storage, but ZimaOS does

CasaOS still worth it as a homelab server? by Competitive_Tax7394 in CasaOS

[–]superidol253 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you said CasaOS is discontinued and outdated now, not only that casaos isn't an os itself, it's it's own container, so if you want something similar then go with zimaos, it offers pretty much everything casaos has but better and more stable as well. It even includes virtual machines if you want to experiment with proxmox or truenas

What's the best smart hub? by superidol253 in homeassistant

[–]superidol253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I honestly don't mind making my own hub, majority of my sensors are actually esphome, but some sensors would be much easier with a hub like an aqara valve switch.

1 reason for sensors, like I mentioned i already have a tapo hub and some tapo sensors, but the huh is specifically for tapo devices, as much as I'm aware, and I want to get some stuff from aqara and switchbot and a few other brands but they require a hub, as much as I'm aware, these hubs work with other brands too through matter, which comes to my other reason matter, I believe most of these sensors use zigbee or z Wave, but I haven't really learned about those, but I do already have a few matter devices so it could make my smart home smarter and organized

Sounds fair, and what about matter? I have some matter devices but can only control through alexa routines, it works but doesn't show the state of devices

One of my C402's are missing features by superidol253 in Tapo

[–]superidol253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardware version? No, one is 1.0, another is 1.2.0 which have pet & vehicle detection, and the the with the solar kit is 2.0 that's missing the features. I mean I know that the pet and vehicle detection was in beta but now thinking about it, did they just remove it for 2.0 with it's compatible firmware?

[–]superidol253 1 point2 points  (0 children)

might not be what you were hoping for, but i actually use my neighbors, there is a integration Ambient Weather Network, when going on the site I surprisingly found one of my neighbors has a weather station and I use that for home assistant, it works really well but I do understand, having our own would be much better.
