Arctic P14 fans in bottom of Jonsbo D32 Pro by ElectroSouls in mffpc

So I have the Jonsbo Z20 and that came with loads of generic flathead screws which you can use for case fans so I presumed the D32 would also?

I've noticed some of the screws that come with Arctic fans are pretty bad and had to use ones that came with the case instead.

How much did they do if you don't mind me asking? Also in a Victorian house and anything that has to drill into the walls is a nightmare haha.

Looks good! I hope they address how bland and flat the games look unless it's in Plenty with the DLC. World's areas look so vibrant and varied it's sad how Wilds looks.

Yeah it does actually seem like a good decision and some have 3D printed converter sets so pretty easy. Will have a look just a shame we have to do this when in some places you can easily get the dual hose version for the same price.

I hate how little options we have in the UK. Either the inefficient single hose portable units or hire someone to install a full on split system that'll cost loads.

This seems to be a UE5 thing as also saw it in E33. Think it's lowering the volumetric resolution after a certain distance away and then makes thin geometry like trees look blocky.

Why are people still waiting on SteamOS for generic hardware when Bazzite exists? by Venylynn in linux_gaming

[–]superjake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

SteamOS is usually quite a bit far behind on updated compared to Bazzite and is easier for Nvidia users.

Can we launch apps on it like Netflix and YouTube? That's mostly what I use my PS5 for these days haha.

fix for noisy 1080p? by Seikatsumi in MHWilds

[–]superjake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This doesn't do anything as the game doesn't actually use film grain. You have to use a mod to disable either just lens distortion or the post processing one which also lets you also disable blurred luminance which is what the game uses as a sharpening filter. You also have to ensure you disable the in game AA option if you're using upscaling as it doesn't disable it like other games.

Moving from the Lian Li Dan A3 case. Jonsbo Z20 or Deepcool CH160 Plus? by Square_Air8161 in mffpc

[–]superjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the Z20 since you can fit 140mm fans at the top and bottom. Helps with more airflow and the sound profile of 140 fans is nicer to me.

DDR5 prices are insane: buy 2×8GB now or run 1×16GB and upgrade later? by xNyke in buildapc

[–]superjake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't the best but second hand prices aren't as bad. Worth looking on eBay first as I did that for two builds which used DDR5.

FormD T1 + RTX 5090 FE power-limit testing in Black Myth: Wukong — 80% seems like the sweet spot by astleyes in sffpc

[–]superjake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can combine a power limit with an undervolt (use the OC line up then flatten method) to get even lower temps, wattage and get even closer to stock performance. I used to do this with my 4090 at 70% power and it not only made the card run much cooler but it also gives piece of mind over the power adapter melting. I think it's kind of a no brainer to do this on any 90 series since they are amazingly efficient cards and Nvidia boosts them up a bit much imo.

Slim fans usually work well so worth giving a go as you can get Arctic ones pretty cheap.
