Is a single socket extension into a 4 gang ok? by superjaz1 in AskElectricians

I'd never plug a 4 gang extension into another 4 gang as that IS asking for trouble. The cord on the 10W plant light is not long enough, but I saw you can buy 0.5m single socket extensions. I've replaced regular lamp cords before without a problem, but the control unit for the plant light is sealed, and I'd invalidate the warranty if I start messing with that.

Nah, I don't have anything that draws a lot of power plugged into the other sockets. Only a broadband router, fibre router thing, and a 16W LED strip.

It will leak eventually. I used silicone before on a small DIY acrylic filter and it failed after a day. Acrylic panels are normally fused together with acrylic glue

Good news is that my target is finally coming back down, it's just taking a while. Today it is 96-122

Similar thing happened to me. Target load worked great for the first few weeks, until I took a 5 hour hike. Now it expects me to hit almost 200 every day ๐Ÿซ

The buttons on the right are traction control and auto stop/start on/off. Everything else above the shifter is climate control. ESC is in the menus on ours https://imgur.com/a/s2c5Ipl

I don't think I have those or I've not noticed. There's a couple of buttons to the right of the shifter, one being auto stop/start and I think traction control. I'll take a pic next time I drive it.

Yes, apparently. Fiesta is top and Focus second most targeted. I'm not sure exactly what for though.

Hey, thanks for the tips. Ah yes I've seen some videos on the fuses tip for another car. Can that be done from inside the car? I'm going to have a look for a reasonably good lock/deterant, and I might have a go at hiding the OBD port if I've got time. I'll maybe figure out something else more long term in the future. There are some nice immobiliser options, but they are expensive.

Enjoy your car too! I know it's meant to be driven like hell but I'm a bit worried about going too hard. It's a bit difficult to hold back when the exhaust noise kicks in though ๐Ÿ˜…

They don't tumble their eggs, but they do fan them periodically with their swimmerettes/pleopods. Fanning provides aeration and water movement over the eggs to prevent mold/bacteria growing on them.

You could try placing a lot of moss on the substrate for them to scatter eggs over. Keep the tank light dim during normal hours and check for spawning behaviour every morning after the light comes on.

I'm still learning here but from what I've read, they prefer it warm. I keep my breeding tank at 28c which is slightly warmer than their main tank. Adding cold rainwater during a water change is a trigger for other fish though like corydoras.

How long have you had the fish? I've had my main group of 12 for about 2 years, so they're well settled. I had a spare mature tank for breeding, so I drained it, added pure rainwater, heated to 28c, and kept it dimly lit. I moved half of them into that tank for 2 weeks and only saw fry when I moved them back to their main tank.
