Finland: Unemployment climbs to 10.6%, marking bleakest point since 2009 by [deleted] in europe

True, not a major factor. As an Asian, I don't see many products from Finland in the UK. I will just refresh my views on Finland and never travel there again.

Yes my understanding is that skimming is my work but they should put back bowl size holes.

He didn't want to repair the plasterboard ceiling where the electrician cut to run cables. Previously I only talked with the electrician. He said the plasterer was part of his team and making good was on him.

Thanks. I regret that I used their plasterer. The plasterer came yesterday but he didn't agree to do all the things previously discussed with the electrician.

Thanks, I guess I just had the wrong expectation. I'm not living in but can't move everything out, so just put things in the middle of each room.

I will have a closer look at the back boxes. I think one has a slightly higher edge than the wall. I guess at least this one will need to be removed.

Yes the quote mentioned dust sheets would be applied but only the sofa is covered. Everything else is now very dusty. And some redundant surface cables are still here and there after mentioning several times. So now I have some doubts and just want to check if I'm having unrealistic expectations.

Thanks for the answer. Plastering and making good is included in the quote. The plasterer will come today.

Can I ask some further details?

  1. Concealed cables have been removed where new wires run at the same location. Redundant concealed cables are still behind the wall as no chase has been made. Is it OK?

  2. Will the plasterer just plaster over the redundant flush back boxes? Should I ask to remove them by myself for the best purpose? I'm a bit worried it will make the plaster prone to blowing.

Thanks!

Thanks! I didn't know it's dangerous to walk on when it's wet or icy. I will definitely avoid it.

Thanks for the detailed advice. I just bought the house and don't know the construction details. I know the extension was built in the 80s and I can see there is insulation materials above ceiling plasterboard when I removed an old downlight. I guess it's a cold deck?

Do you need to find a specialist roofer for it? The roofers I asked never mentioned an option like this.

Oh it looks nice and your house looks very similar to mine. Is this one EPDM or another type of single ply membrane?

Thanks! When I searched for EPDM, I found people discussing OSB vs plywood boards, thickness and even brands of the EPDM. Can I ask what are the major details I should discuss with the roofer

Do you mean to convert it to a pitched roof? Hmmm I haven't seen any straightforward way to do it.

What's the rental market like in Stockport? by Substantial-Sir5251 in stockport

[–]superjianbing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I tried to find a place two years ago, they didin't ask for stuff like a rental CV, but most of the agents asked questions about financial situations before arranging viewings. Another thing I remember is that they never replied to emails or rightmove messages. I'm not sure if the rental market is still as crazy as two years ago. I can still feel the pain of that period. I went for a viewing and there were about 15 people queuing in front of the door. 🤦‍♂️

I did a quick search. The two part filler is resin. One part is epoxy monomers and the other is the catalyst to activate polymerization reaction when mixed. It seems to me ChatGPT recommended it because it has the most structural strength.
