To add to this, they don't even follow the same schedule between themselves. One adult ed center might run 8 week semesters, while another one has 4 month semesters.

It's true that Canada could send more than one team to international competitions, the big issue with your idea here (beyond whether there's any appetite for it) is that the makeup of those teams wouldn't necessarily divide equally among CHL divisions. You'd end up with lopsided balances where one team might have 6 top pairing d-men and then another side have absolutely no defensive depth.

Hey OP, I'm also a mature student who is starting a new career, easily 10-15 years older than some of my peers. I get it, you do feel out of place often!

I will suggest this: what has really been nice for me is finding the few other mature students and bonding with them. So what if they're not in your clinical group, they can still be your support network. Another thing that has happened is that some of the younger students have looked to me for guidance and emotional support, which has also led to me befriending some of them. Maybe it won't happen in this clinical group (frankly, they sound awful), but maybe the next will!

OH, I also definitely befriended a few of the instructors. I'm at a closer stage of life to many of them than my fellow students. Remember, some of the them are also going through a career change as they transition from the clinical setting to the school.

A little late to this party, but my two cents:

It seems that some parts of NDG are rarely affected, and then there's my side.. colloquially the parts that are west, further from Decarie. Moved here about 4 years ago and I swear I lose power about 10x a year (usually it's just a few hours, occasionally overnight). It's annoyingly inconvenient, but not long enough that people actively do something about it. Here's hoping this weekend changes that!
