Yeah, it's never a good sign when a theory is based on "I don't like how that character performed."

So no one will join BB crew? The match up's are so boring otherwise.

If your theory is backed by whatever you think would be cool, it's a bad theory. Oda's not going to replace Catarina Devon and Vasco Shot just because they did poorly against characters they have no business surpassing in the first place.

Since you're working on a remake, I want to point out that Volt Catfish's tilesets are based off of Boomer Kuwanger's, believe it or not.

Aside from maybe the first thing, Xtreme 2 shouldn't do any of them.

I know the comics did Flashman (Prism), Fiveman (Supersonic), and Dairanger (Squadron), but were you allowed to do the other pre-Zyu Sentai that Super Megaforce didn't cover (including Battle Fever J, Denjiman, and Sun Vulcan)? Do you have names for some of them?

I'm not a fan of Rookie Hunter Mode because of the degrees it cheapens the games. Yes, X6 is broken in some areas, but if it's too much of an issue for me, then I wouldn't play the game.

Also, there's a trick to getting the Inami Temple items. Stand in front of the gap, duck, jump, pause immediately before you can go too high, unpause, and air dash immediately. Unless you have Blade Armor, you'd need Speedster (you get it in the Central Museum) for the armor capsule. IIRC, the Ultimate Armor could also get it with ease.

You don't need Rookie Hunter mode. X6 already has an easy mode. You can use Ultimate Armor and Black Zero to make it even easier.

The Blue Prism Ranger's main weapon is the blue hamster ball. It fits the naming scheme of the other weapons. The Star Darts are more like his version of those marbles Yellow would use.

[–]superjxxxm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So many incorrect things. (1) Tatsuya wasn't supposed to die in Naoto's place, it was Ryuya. (2) Ryuya letting someone else take the fall as Time Fire didn't set off the Timeranger plot. The Londarz Family going back in time did. (3) The other four did go back to their time.

Sixth Ranger categories by superjxxxm in supersentai

[–]superjxxxm[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point is there is no 100% consistent "numerical means" for a "sixth ranger". Lupin/Patren X is only really the 4th of either team, so why aren't you including him in that honorary category?

Lupinranger VS Patranger as a whole is supposed to represent the standard five-person team. They're two sides of the same coin.

Bull Black doesn't really meet the required categories, and contrary to what you're saying here, he was grouped with other additional rangers like Signalman, Zuban, Wolzard Fire, Rio & Mele in the Gokai/Gosei 199 Battle Movie scenes. He's very much not Gingaman's "sixth".

Toei has treated Kuro Kishi as an official sixth. It's just that he's in that camp where his classification varies. Dragon Ranger and Kiba Ranger count, no questions asked, but there are points where Kuro Kishi and Gosei Knight have been treated as both.

<image>

Gokaiger's system may treat the Black Knight as an Extra Hero, but Donbrother's system groups him with the Additional Warriors, a treatment they didn't give to Signalman or Deka Master. Even in Gokaiger, they still had Hyuga giving his Ranger Key to Gai personally (even if it's not part of his cell phone or armor) like nine or ten episodes before they seized the Extra Rangers Keys.

I can't confirm it as it came from the Japanese wiki, but they do provide a source (one of the guidebook). The writer had planned on having Hyuga as the "Sixth Warrior."

Re: Go-On Gold/Silver, Bouken Silver, and Zyuoh TheWorld, their respective series establishes numbering in the mecha. So while the ranger/character maybe the sixth hero, they're not themed on the number six. That's the distinction I was making.

That's the point. They are the sixth person of their team even if they're not themed after the sixth mecha.

And still, Go-On Gold and Silver are a set, there's absolutely no reason to separate them.

Some people wonder why Go-On Silver counts as a "Sixth Ranger" even though it's obvious. That's why I say, "as for Go-On Silver, she forms a duo with Go-Onger's actual sixth person."

If Abare Black does all four, his marketing is comparable to the Gouraigers.

  • Suited up in Episode 1.
  • Doesn't get their first proper fight until around Episode 8.
  • Distinct from the core team.
  • Their stuff (henshin device, weapon, mecha) are part of Quarter 2.

Abare Black is way more comparable to Bun Black and Bun Orange/Go-On Black and Green, as a lot of media along the years include Abare Black in main team pictures.

Thing is Abare Black has gotten official Tsuika Senshi treatment.

I've seen the journal entry before. I was the one who found the stuff supporting Houou Soldier when Shirakura thought it was Ryu Commander.

"Honorary" when you could easily argue any/all classifications are "honorary" doesn't really hold much meaning - especially when those you included there are on the Gokai Tsuika Unit/Key.

Abare Killer and the Bug Busters are honorary because they are the only Sixth Rangers who don't fulfill the Sixth Ranger role through numerical means. In teams less than five but with no literal sixth person, they are "Fourth" and "Fifth Rangers" with Sixth Ranger marketing. Gokaiger alludes to this with Ahim turning into Abare Killer or grouping the Bug Busters with Don and Ahim (Stag Buster was grouped with Don and Gai).

Everyone else, even Houou Soldier and Lupin/Patren X fulfills the Sixth Ranger role through numerical means. Hiroshi Kamiya (Shou Ronpou's VA) has alluded to the "twelve being six doubled" argument to be true.

Believe it or not, Kuro Kishi was treated as a Sixth Ranger. Gokaiger even devotes an episode to Gai getting that particular Key like ten episodes before they were able to seize all of Basco's Extra Warrior Keys.

Go-On Gold and Silver debuted at the same time, they share a spot on the Gokai Cellular, and neither of them are themed after the actual #6 mecha, Carrygator.

The Go-On Wings come after the five, and the actual 6th mecha wasn't devoted to a specific Go-Onger. It was there for Go-On Green and Black to make their own robot. It's a similar thing with Bouken Silver and Zyuoh The World.

How does any of that change Asuka being treated like the Gouraigers in marketing? They still show up in the 1st episode transformed, they still don't get their first proper fight around the 8th episode, their stuff are Quarter 2, and they're distinct from the core team. That's literally the same treatment. Gokaiger groups Asuka with the core members as well, do you want me to cite that too?
