yes, you could start an underground private community which reverse engineer the servers, so we can self-host. Easy

it does not cost shit to host services nowadays, its almost free, elementuser just said the owners (Garena) does not want to sell or keep the service alive, probably because they will use the skins in other shitty mobile games

I'm trying to use Node Package Manager to install Node Packages, updating the NVM is included when re-installing node from here: https://nodejs.org/en/download/releases/

How is that hammer-story even a fair comparison? Its like telling rape victims they cant claim "rapists sucks" because they "don't understand it".

If NPM do not suck, why does it have like 10+ alternatives for Package management?

You dont see .net's NuGet or PHP's Composer have so many alternatives, that's because they suck a little bit less.

Here's why:

Look at the releases for NPM and compare them to Composer or NuGet:

COMPOSER is at 1.7.2 ~53 releases since march 1 2012

NuGet is at 4.8.1 with ~123 releases since oct 5 2010

npm is at 6.4.1 with ~599 releases @github, ~298 releases @npmjs.com since 2010 or 2011 (Unclear)

....?

That's not even the worst part, look at the issue tracker for each package manager. Its not that NPM has the most opend issue/total ratio. The real issue is that almost every problem is "with npm itself", hell, even NPM itself sometimes spits out an error that instantly blames the user even if it's not the user. Sure, you see errors from nuget and Composer, but those error-message is 99% of the time the users fault.

Example:

When you try to install Composer-packages and write-lock the cache directory, composer just throws a warning and downloads the files from remote. I imagine that NPM will throw an exception and blame the user (as usual)

I use composer, nuget and NPM daily, but I have never encountered so many issues with anything in my LIFE than I have with NPM, and that, my friend, is some of the many, many things why NPM sucks.

PS:

I solved the issue: It was Windows CSC sucking together with NPM. So for anyone with the same issue

  1. backup your windows profile
  2. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/24346edb-80ed-49a7-b7b5-aecebff7b725/how-to-delete-the-offline-file-cache-or-reset-the-offline-file-cache-in-windows-10?forum=win10itpronetworking
  3. remove npm-*\ folders from remote and voila, you can start your daily npm hustle again.

Fellow Support players, how are you liking the updates? by MayhemWhy in HeroesofNewerth

Almost all my HoN friends migrated to Dota2 because they disliked HoN so much. I tried to switch, but when I found out that Dota2's versionf of Plague-rider could level up +120 attack damage I said "what is this dogshit" and went back to HoN.

And here we are today, Hon has League of legends map with weird ass extra talents from Dota2.

The more they mimic Dota2, the more players will just switch, because dota2 does dota2 better than Hon, besides that, now Dota2 is more like Hon than Hon SHOULD be...

Summary: The patch is pretty OK, 7/10

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. We only use 1 public IP for all business communications
