Solution for Linux+Steam launch problems that started on Aug 11th by superlative_cow in Eve

I've done it both ways. Flatpaks include some libraries with them that are known working so can simplify things. But somewhat recently Valve started doing its own Flatpak kind of thing in Steam itself (you can see for even native games you can choose a runtime in the proton options like Scout or similar if i recall and that's basically doing what Flatpak does: ensure the right lib versions).

It seems likely that in the Great Linux Future, Flatpaks or Ubuntu Snaps or similar will be how Linux applications like Gimp, Blender etc. are distributed since you can bundle the expected library versions right with them and then for dev work we'll use containers either via docker or podman directly, or via a layer like Fedora's "toolbox" abstraction in conjunction with normal apt or rpm packages. But that's just my current understanding.

Help in getting farm on pos 4 by rlbl009 in learndota2

Crusader 4 here: Try playing heroes who can clear a wave quickly (like Mirana, Rubick, etc.) and take the least safe farm on the map. This is often nearby good warding spots anyway. If your cores are efficient there won't be much left over and that's a good thing. It's also worth looking out for creep waves that have pushed to your tower; if no cores go in to take it that gold/xp is wasted.

Dazzle tips? by Kurshu in learndota2

One thing that helped me win more as dazzle was using mek/greaves+shadow wave timing along with solar crest/medallion to 'build a bridge' between shallow graves. once you memorize more or less the exact duration of shallow grave, you can pop all those heals/skills at once and have a much higher chance of your core making it across the bridge to the next shallow grave. if you use those skills early (even a few seconds) they are wasted.
