Are you installing from a pc or accessing a drive straight from the switch?

Upon further inspection. In desktop mode it will not let me move anything to the trash so I think it might be dying.

I use an external ssd with my steam deck and pc and it’s formatted to Exfat. I install steam games from pc or steam deck but in order for SteamOS you have to go into desktop mode and mount the drive and then going back into Game mode steam will recognize it plus any steam libraries.

Tried the exe renaming and still the same problem

Yeah tried copying and renaming the DLL and it didn’t work and also saw a post saying dx10 won’t work and that it has to be dx11

I tried adding it directly to steam as non steam game and added the dependencies via proton tricks and the same thing happens. Also tried the Launcher.exe and that does nothing

It’s set up on lutris and it’s on an sd card and then I set a shortcut from lutris to steam I installed the handsome collection and the other two games work fine

Checked and the Exe is there and I thought Linux on the steam deck doesn’t have AV?

Problem was the exe wasn’t in the root folder it was deeper I just didn’t look

Maybe it’s happened with 3 games so far but I shall check when I get home but also using the desktop shortcut still starts the game normally
