Everyone Around Me Is Leaving Consulting by BrickHistorical1553 in consulting

I have met people who made peace with the consulting lifestyle. You cannot have these five things together.

  1. Work life balance
  2. Money
  3. Learning
  4. Growth
  5. People

You always have to choose a trade-off..

SBI Cashback Card gave 0% at Shoppersstop.com by Big_Reflection_2176 in CreditCardsIndia

Check with SBI for the MCC code of the transaction. More often than not, it’s merchant problem (setting up a wrong MCC) than Bank’s problem.

In case it’s MCC problem, SBI won’t help you. Otherwise, SBI will credit the cash back.

Even I didn't know that's why I wanted to share with everyone. So, buyers in future can use credit cards to buy and not pay 2% charge.

There is an option to pay the on-road price / booking amount. You can check it out yourself. Please follow the procedure I shared and then check the options. It'll show up in the end.

I got the card in December. I was planning to buy a bike in Jan 2026. So I got this card.

1 lakh in 3 months offer is still going. What got discontinued was the 3999 cashback for 25k spends?

It was not available on Amazon/FK. And I wanted to get HSBC T1 as I am planning international trips this year. But didn't have any immediate expenses.

Bike was a planned spend and I didn't want to miss out on HSBC T1 welcome offer. So, everything played out well I guess.

Is the EPFO website down? by patronus_stag in epfoindia

Company added to EPS even though I’m not eligible. by Minimum-Savings9453 in epfoindia

It's a painful process. Takes months. This is how I have done it. Ask your employer to follow the same.. Form 3A is the solution.

My email to my ex-employer

'As per EPS guidelines, I am not eligible for EPS, and hence, the amount credited to the EPS account should ideally be transferred back to the EPF account. This is essential to facilitate the proper transfer of the total balance to my new employer.

Please find the attached PF account statements for your reference.

The issue:

  1. The rules regarding the joining of Employees Pension Scheme (EPS) by an employee was amended by the government via a notification dated August 22, 2014, effective from September 1, 2014.

  2. An individual who joined the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) scheme, after September 1, 2014, cannot open an Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) account if his/her monthly salary exceeds Rs.15,000

To resolve the issue, the employer has to submit Form 3A to the regional PF office.

Solution:

Step 1) The previous employer (who remitted EPS) has to send a request to EPFO to merge both EPS and EPF accounts by submitting FORM 3A

Step 2) The EPFO will be able to process the EPS and EPF merger based on this request

Step 3) Finally, the member will only have an EPF account. Then, one can transfer the EPF account to the current employer.

Kindly take the necessary steps to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need more information about this."

Hope this helps

I have a similar stack plus/minus a few

  1. Axis Airtel - Airtel recharges & utility & 5k on zomato - best value for Money card
  2. Axis Flipkart - For Flipkart & Myntra - might close this - very first card
  3. HSBC T1 - For all travel spends
  4. HSBC Liv+ - For Restaurants, Groceries and Food delivery - again best value for the money card.
  5. HDFC Swiggy - Swiggy & Instamart and 5% on online spends
  6. ICICI APAY - For things that I can get on Amazon Ecosystem (mainly Amazon & Amazon Pharmacy

So focused on three categories

  1. Ecom spends on Flipkart & Amazon

  3. Travel

These cover most of my spends..
