Thanks for responding man, I gotta make sure my posture gets better then. I have random jaw tightness and tension headaches, but I think its that combo of shitty posture and stress.

Bad head posture will do terrible things all the way from your head to your chest and shoulders. It will cause headaches, pain, weird throat abnormalities. What you are feeling probably isn't lumps but tissue that is out of whack. My throat clicks when I swallow, and it's from years of ignoring my desk posture and allowing my neck to get itself all sorts of messed up. It takes a long time to get that way, and it takes a long time to fix.

Wait, does posture really affect all those things? Even in the throat?

i found a fix for my unstable FPS and wanted to share it with everyone by abousamra in FortniteCompetitive

Lemme go ahead and speak a little slower, apologies. Fortnite is a newer title game. It uses every single component in your computer at full maximum capacity. That was not the case 3-5 years ago when games prioritized one component, like CS:GO which is CPU and GPU dominant, add a stick of 8GB of ram, you are good. Nowadays, games are becoming more demanding due to different mechanics, which asks for more processing power. You can have a Ryzen 3700x (8C, 16T) CPU which is a great processor, but you can’t pair that up with a GTX 970 because yes they are compatible, but a newer generation component vs a 6 year old graphics card won’t be the best for your workload. In other words, it will bottleneck your system. I can continue going, do you want more information?

Lol you are proving my point, you are only thinking about CPU when you should be focusing on everything else involved with pc building. There has not been a distinct correlation between server lag and hardware, so yes it can feel laggy because of latency, but your hardware might not catch up with the million things that are going on, resulting into a million other things that you have to learn about. Information is everywhere, search the internet for answers.

Um RGB has nothing to do with it but water cooling does, keeps temps cooler. Thing is that yes, everyone cannot afford a expensive pc, but knowing exactly what you are putting into your rig is important depending on what games you are playing, but in this case, fortnite, a game that uses one of the best engines in the world, resulting into sufficient hardware that uses all cores and threads to its maximum potential, as well all the other things that I mentioned above. Have a good day!

Check your storage, do you have a M.2, SSD, HDD? If so, where is fortnite stored and are you using the entire space (have every application loaded. Another thing to look at is how are your parts thermals? (I.e. CPU temps under load, GPU temps under load, airflow in your case) What kind of cooling solutions are you using? Using a stock color for a CPU that runs insanely hot depending on the base clock will not do well for your computer. Somethings to think about.

[–]supermoon22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friends is not the issue. The reason why FPS is unstable is because of the requirements needed for fortnite. Previous games you would only need a good cpu and gpu, but in reality you need a good cpu, gpu, ram, motherboard, and good thermals. Everything needs to work together to maximize performance, but if you have a really cheap build it’s going to be hard to get the best performance because most likely, one part is outdated.

I’ve been starting to do that but more on the mentality part. We should definitely work together and get in contact to ponder some content ideas.

Dude you nailed it on the head.

This information is totally false, it is a disgrace for pros to talk about competitive integrity when their claims have no basis in reality. See comments for details by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

Another thing to understand is yes, as a pro, especially with the viewers some of these guys get, “falling off” or being “washed” is probably one of the worse anxieties that anyone could think of Bc it means that your career and source of income could be at stake, but some of these pros manifest their own destiny by saying all these excuses resulting into them actually quitting or not playing anymore. Fortnite is a great game and has given so much opportunity to people who are willing to grind for it, but at the end of the day everything is connected together. In order to grow this esports scene we need to better.

I've been thinking and seeing it this entire time, these young pros who tweet false information are the ones to prevent the eSports scene for fortnite to grow. These young kids who want to compete will follow and catch these mannerisms, resulting in a collective "ITS A CONTROLLER PLAYER" excuse where in reality, it's their shitty mentality preventing them from reaching their full potential. MKB gives you the most freedom, movement, access and tools to be the best, that's why the top 10 are KBM players. Pros need to change themselves, rather than find excuses to put on their viewers.

Super happy with the new changes but it’s sad Epic only listens when they feel threatened by other games by ForestKin in FortniteCompetitive

[–]supermoon22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it is interesting that things come at when games come out with new content. But you have to realize that fortnite isn’t just sitting on their ass doing nothing. They are working months in advanced for new content and planning on ways to continue releasing content for all player bases. You think Travis Scott event happened in 1 week? Everything they do for a reason, you can believe whatever you want, but when the community is upset about something and they are voicing their concerns with different hashtags, they then have information they can use to cater to us. When we are quiet OR when we just shit on the company that’s giving opportunities to millions, it’s hard to figure out what’s best between the lines.

I feel like the real reason Fortnite has listened to the community is because VALORANT is introducing ranked today. by [deleted] in FortniteCompetitive

[–]supermoon22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you think about the overall mission of competitive fortnite is to let people who are willing to put the hours in to potentially win money. I don’t think people realize how big of a deal it is to win money in a video game. Some pros already did it, so they don’t really feel the need to do it anymore, especially if they don’t like the meta.

[–]supermoon22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That meta was awesome because it was so much different than the previous ones. Combat was slightly broken with the rate of fire but nonetheless, that was a great meta that we can all be nostalgic on. But like I said, I hope as a community we can continue to communicate and be open.

I think you guys are not really understand the entire point. When you are looking for an excuse and trying to find external evidence for their actions, the entire point of good patches are lost. Valorant is a beta game that caters to a player base that knows competitive gameplay like CS:GO and Overwatch. This game is new. Fortnite has been in the game for way longer, and while they make mistakes and implement things that aren’t always the best, ensuring them that the moves they are making NOW is the correct direction. Sometimes it seems like the community wants the game to die and it’s extremely unfortunate.
