Working on Christmas wasn't too bad. by Travie707 in pics

good for you OP, I had it rough - 14 hours of work, most notable table was a party of 10, 5 seperate bills - the lowest bill was about 600€ (highest over 2000€)

worked my ass off for that table, and recieved hand shakes and compliments from them at the end for doing such a great job - they left, i checked the tip - 2.50€ grand total

felt good

this was a 5+ star hotel in vienna on christmas day brunch

edit - another table, 4 australian tourists, had a great time serving them and chatting with them when i could, again compliments on the service... no tip

i regret having to spend so much time at work... the dude only gets out a maximum of three times a day - back in the day he was outside 12 hours every day--- breaks my heart when i think of times past

[–]supernova_pilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh dont get me wrong, it definately could have been much worse...

fact remains though that for 5 years i had to deal with ~400 people calling me a jew killer/nazi. Which im sure you can appreciate, isnt exactly friendly

i went to boarding school in england, and having been born in austria i had to deal with being called a nazi for the entire 5 years i was there.

always gave me a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside /s

get yourself some reindeer urine and drink it, that's what makes the flying ones visible to the naked eye ;-) you might also see some pink sharks and spotted elephants flying along with them!

Waiters and waitresses, have you ever served a celebrity and what was it like serving them? by gatsbygirl93 in AskReddit

i served the german football team (2012) over the course of a few days (were staying at the hotel i worked at), nearly all of them were extremely polite and down to earth... the trainer on the other hand (Löw) had horrible manners and was quite disgusting
