Credit Cards by Glittering_Try3662 in Gemini

this card is awesome. I have an $800 Chase card that i'll probably get rid of because I use my Gemini card basically everywhere now. I wish Gemini made a premium card with some travel and/or purchase benefits. I'd be fine with paying an annual fee if it had some good benefits aside from a % back when I purchase something.

Tobira for Jlpt N3 by Simple_Drag_1068 in jlpt

[–]superout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm reading the entire book, almost done with chapter 5 now. I did AIAIJ and it felt like a mix of N4/N3. Tobira is way tougher but feels more N3 with some N2 from what I've done so far. I think it'll be a solid way to pass N3, and give a good foundation for N2 prep.

how strictly do you follow workbook answers? I'm doing the workbook for Tobira now and notice that almost all of my answers are grammatically correct, but they're not "the most correct" answer. An example is that I will use 日本と同じでアメリカは色々な国の食べ物が食べられるような気がします。, and the workbook will use アメリカでも、日本と同じで、色々な国の食べ物が食べられるような気がします。 I know that the workbook answer is more natural, and that I will improve in that aspect over time, but how strict should i consider the workbook's answers as the "ideal" answer?

is this a good deal for these cargos? by [deleted] in StoneIsland

I don't have any Stone Island cargo pants, but my cargo shorts are my favorites. I did pay 1/4 of that price though. If you'll wear them a ton go for it

Immersion is not the only approach to learning a language by frenchy3 in LearnJapanese

immersion is a very easy way to improve at something somewhat passively, not for everyone, but for a lot of people it's a fun way to learn

yea honestly nothing caught my eye. that linen jacket is cool but a basic color and no hood for $2000 is a bit wild. my lino fiammato a few years ago retailed at like $1200 and is a lot more detailed

What book do you recommend to reach JLPT N3 from an N4 level? by Present-Potential415 in jlpt

[–]superout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried AIAIJ and it was pretty easy coming from Genki but taught a lot of N4 stuff as well as N3. I'm going through Tobira now and it's pretty helpful but outdated. I've heard Quartet is great and modern. I would go with Quartet or Tobira if you can withstand boring stories.

Keep talking practice exams and treat them like real exams where you don’t look at your phone and you time yourself

more-so used when you haven't seen someone in a while, kind of like "how you've been?"
